Taking the trip: Myself (Nana)42
Granddaughter (Skye) 6

It was Skye's first time flying. We were up by 4:30 am and left Lexington before daylight. I watched Skye's big blue eyes grow wider as we rose from the runway...lights twinkling out the window...she said "Awsome, Nana." That's what we would later say about the entire trip.

Our plans were to go to MGM, but we were so tired by the time we arrived in our room we almost stayed in to rest up. After an hour's swim in the pool and Skye got a hairwrap, we felt refreshed and caught the bus to MGM. Neither of us had ever been there before. We loved it...especially after sundown. Skye quickly began showing signs of becoming a shopping maniac. She had twenty five bucks allowance for the day burning a hole in her fanny pack. Most of the shows were closed but we saw plenty: The Little Mermaid, Muppets, Great Movie Ride, Star Tours. I wanted to see Fantasmic, but we were so tired we grabbed a Pizza at Toy Story Pizza Planet (B+) then went back to ASMu to get a good nights sleep.

Jennymouse,
Thanks for posting. I was 7 when my Nana took me to the World for the first time, and I agree with Skye, everything then was just awesome. Can't wait to see the next installment

How wonderful it must be to have a granddaughter to take with you to WDW.

This was a very long day, I'll bet.

Great beginning, thanks for posting.
