I don't like it, or Zack, and don't care to see it.
But I have a feeling this thread might get nasty (all the HSM fans on here)
Just remember, if you are just going to bash, dont post.

I dont like it. its not that great or sensational. its a cute Little kid movie, but its not a < west side story, sound of music ,oaklahoma, cats, phantom of the opera, and it definitely did not change the world( no matter what the commercial says)

I think it's overblown.
I mean, in the late 90's Disney was releasing movies just as good if not better than HSM MONTHLY! It's like, Disney goes on a monthly movie slump, then hits a gem and it's all OMG!

I hate this movie.
It's ridiculous.
It's horrible.
The actors are awful, and were basically all picked up from the same horrible DC show.
Zac Efron is not good looking, and his hips are smaller than a skinny girls.
I would like to rip the show off my tv.

I loved the first one.
I want to see the second one.
I think Zac is ok of an actor.
But I don't really think he is cute.
I hate it. I can't stand it. It's overhyped. None of the actors are pretty. None of them are up to my "standards", I guess, as singers or actors. I just...can't stand to watch it.

I sort of like the movie, but it would be a LOT better with out Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens.
I hate hate hate Zac Efron. But I hate Vanessa Hudgens even more.

It's completely over-hyped, I'm so sick of hearing about it.
Come on DisneyChannel, this movie is even low for your standards.
Thinking about DC just makes me sad, because I know Disney can do so so soooo much better.
Disney is a [what...billion?] dollar corporation, and they can't even think of a better movie to get all excited about.

I thought it was ok when it first came out. I didn't really like the acting or singing, but I thought it was a cute little movie. Then it got so huge and overblown that I just got sick of it. The high school musical 2 commercials have even drifted over to other channels! I'll probably end up watching it anyways, because our tv is usually always on the DC, but I'm not that impressed with the movie.
And I think Corbin is way cuter than Zac.

The movie itself wasn't terrible, but Disney's (admittedly awe-inspiring) marketing machine made it practically unbearable. After the endless months of hearing about it every single day in every single commercial break of every single DC show, I was ready to strangle anyone who had any hand in making it.
Imagine my surprise when one day I watched it, and the movie wasn't the devilish tool that the marketing campaign made it seem like. It's no 'Sound of Music', to be sure, but it's easily better than a boatload of other current movies and I have to at least give it that credit.
And basing opinions of a movie on what the actors look like is... ah, kinda strange, imho.

Bring back the old, good DC movies.
I used to live month to month looking for the new movies. Heck, even now if I see that "Quints" is on, I'll cancel any plans that I happened to have just to stay home and watch it. It's disappointing to me to see such a mediocre movie get so hyped up to the point where it's fallen from below average to below the roots.
^^ I do that for Luck of the Irish, but they only ever play that around St. Paddy's day....but I might watch just because I'm a Tim Omundson fangirl...:rotfl:

everyone knows my opinion, and I the most HSM obsessed person thinks they are playing the HSM2 commercials too much. I first realized this when I was at Lake Winnipasaukee this weekend, my cousin Sean hates HSM because he is not a show tune person and a macho jock so when we'd watch DC the commercial for it would come on every single second he'd groan and say OH MY GOD. So I'd say I'd have to agree they are hyping it up too much. But I just downloaded my HSM2 soundtrack and ofcourse everyone knows that I'm in LOVE with Zac.

I LOVE those movies. I love all the older DC movies. I got all excited last year when I heard luck of the Irish was going to be on. Same with Halloweentown or whatever it's called. The old movies were the best. Sorry I had an explosion of happiness when those were mentioned. :goodvibes
But I still loved HSM. I just honestly love the older ones alot better.

Making a thread about this wasn't really a good idea. I'm not an HSM fan but I sense arguing..
