View Full Version : HHI / VB - How hard in the summer for 7 months out?

This will be our 1st attempt to book a 1BR for summer '08 at either HHI or preferably VB. What experiences have you all had in getting 7 month out reservations for June / July? :confused:

7 Months is tuff at HHI but cant comment on VB.

At 7 months out VB was pretty much filled for the week in which the 4th of July fell, but we were able to book a 2 b/r for the following week with no problems (I did book day by day just to make sure that week didn't fill up).

We booked 1 bdrm, HHI, for the first week of June 2007 at 7 months doing it DBD and got everyday we wanted. VB is typically an easier target in the summer because their season is much longer than HHI.

I can't comment on HHI other than I have heard it is tough for the summer months. We however, have gotten a ressie at VB for the summer at 7 months. Good luck!!!!

We were able to get a 2BR and a studio at HH this year for 8 nights for early August, booking DBD and with a waitlist. Everything we wanted came thru by early June. We booked cash nights just in case waitlist didn't materialize. I wish we had HH points instead of BCV, but we've been successful at HH 7 months out for the past 4 years. It does take quite an investment of time, but we love HH so it's worth it.

At 7 mos out, we booked a 2BR @ HHI 2 yrs ago and a 2BR @ VB for this past summer for early June with no problems whatsoever.

In fact, I had to change my original ressie for VB this summer 2 weeks later than originally booked due to a snafu w/airline reward pts. I still booked our trip with no waitlist or no DBD.

We enjoyed VB much more - shorter drive to the resort for us since we must fly. We also visited the KSC while the shuttle was on a mission and that was a huge plus to our vacation this summer.

Loved the proximity to the beach vs @ HHI. I just like being able to walk out my door and be on the beach in less than 5 minutes. :banana:
