Let's pray for Sept. travelers!!

I don't know about the rest of you...but I'm going NUTS waiting for our departure date to the World Sept. 14th!!! With it being hurricane season and all..I wanted to start a prayers chain to keep the storms away for all us September/Hurricane season travelers. This trip is so anticipated...I just can't even imagine if one were to hit..devastated would be an understatement:sad1: Praying for y'all and me :)...

I'm checking in the 12th of September, so I know how you feel. However, since I live here, I'd have to go through one whether I'm on vacation or not. If one decides to come through, I'd rather be at Disney!

I'm also praying the Weather Gods are favorable. We leave on Sept 13th and stay through the 22nd. We are taking our niece who is 3 and another neice who will be celebrating her 2nd Birthday in DW.

Count me in! I have been praying every day for the last month that no major hurricanes will surface. I too would be majorly crushed as we have been looking forward to this for almost 9 months or so now. This is my dad's first trip ever and my mom's first to AK and MGM. We are looking forward to having the best time of our lives!

Count me in on this prayer chain as well! We are going to Arrive 9/11-9/21. This is our first Vacation to WDW and we have heard all sorts of comments from people about the hurricanes. I can say that this board has relieved some of my fears. It seems that if there is a hurricane, WDW is the place to be!

I'm totally in on this prayer chain!! I'll be praying for all those going in september including me. Me and DH are arriving on the 13th and departing on the 22nd. This will be our first vacation in 2 years so I'm really really hoping there is no bad weather/hurricanes during this time.

We will be there from Sept 5th to Sept 10th. We're from Louisiana so a hurricane/tropical storm can hit us at home or at Disney. I'd rather be at Disney if one hit land, but my ultimate choice is that none hit land. The Lord answered our prayers last year so we're praying again.:goodvibes

I'm in! We're going Sept 15 - 20. Of course, I don't care if it rains everyday. I don't care if I have to build an ark to get to the parks. Heck, I don't care if I have to stay in my room the whole time (okay, maybe not that far!). I'll be in Disney World!

As much as I really don't want to see a hurricane up close, DH would love it. He's the type of person that stands out in the open when a thunderstorm is approaching. We were on vacation a few years ago when Hurricane Isabel (I think that was her name) hit in Maryland. I was huddled in the bathroom, and DH was on the balcony watching. Strange man, he is, but I guess I love him!

I will keep you September travelers in my prayers. I went to WDW in Sept of 2004 during one hurricane and left before the next hit, but I have to admit, it was probably our best trip ever. The crowds were low, very low and the weather was good after one bad day. WDW didn't loose electricity since theirs is underground. They took care of everyone including employees allowing them to come stay at the resorts with thier families and pets. They had characters in the lobby of the hotel playing games with the kids. I was very impressed.

Count me in too! We're checking in on the 21 and leaving the 30th. I'm not too worried about a hurricane, but I am very worried about the heat. My dh is a burn survivor, so he is pretty heat-sensitive. So, can we pray for no hurricanes and nice 70-80 degree days?
