either by working in the disney college program or just by applying at Disney parks, where would you want to work if you had the choice to work at any attraction in the theme parks. Where would your dream job be?:wizard: Mine would be at the rock'n roller coaster, or haunted mansion.
P.S. what are the most wanted positions in the parks, like I know alot of people want to be in haunted mansion, but where else?

My dream job would to be a character performer (though I would stay with character attendant as well). Another popular area is Tower of Terror.

My dream job....being one of the dancers in "Festival of the Lion King". It is my favorite show at the parks and I love the music and costumes ;_;.
Being more realistic though, I would love to be Stitch (I am too tall, I know that already so booo) or just a dancer in a parade or something.
Even MORE REALISTIC (I am not mega trained in singing/dancing so thats probably out I have some training but not alot), I would love to work at Pirates of the Carribean, any ride at Animal Kingdom (would LOVE to do the Kilimanjaro ride), any of the tour rides really. Splash Mountain would be fun too.
Heck being a vacation planner would be fun (like actually getting to help people plan their vacation).

My dream Disney job is to work in their archives. That would be SO interesting. :)
Also, I would love to be a performer in one of their shows... particularly on the DCL.

My Disney Dream Job, and the one that I am striving for as my career, is a Disney Wedding Planner. I have always loved to plan weddings, parties, and more. Plus I have always loved Disney. To have this as a career would be really great. I am hoping that by hopefully getting accepted to the CP, then maybe a PI, and my degree in Travel & Tourism management will help me with this goal.
I would love to be a Disney Wedding Planner!!!!!! :bride:

I've also wanted to work at the Jungle Cruise for just about.. ever. That and The Great Movie Ride.
I think being a wedding planner or a pastry chef at Disney would be fantastic! ...but alas, I have chosen to pursue dentistry instead.

My dream is to work anywhere at Disney. My dream job would be working as an event coordinator or wedding planner at Disney!!!
I am currently pursuing my Masters in Hotel and Restaurant Management. I hope to move to FL and pursue my dream in a few years.

My top 5 most wanted positions at disney parks:
5: Food vendor in the parks - It would be fun to work in the park being a small vendor. It's a good way to be able to interact with guests and provide them with a good service.
4: Ride operator - doesn't matter what ride
3: Monorail tour guide - what could be more fun than riding the monorail all day?
2: Character performer - I'd like to do this if at all possible. I don't know what characters I could be seeing that I'm 6 foot and about 250 pounds. Baloo the Bear or Goofy if I become thinner.
1: Character attendant/bodyguard - I feel that it is vital to make sure character interations go smoothly and don't end up like this (see link to video, WARNING: may cause anger.

For the Disney CP, my dream job would be either a Character Attendant or a Character performer of some kind (just being an extra in a parade would be fabulous!)
As for a future career, being the Human Resources Director for Magic Kingdom is my dream. Pretty specific already, huh?
But hey, at least we know what we want...

Well, let's not limit ourselves to just one park, yeah? :goodvibes I'd love to be an Imagineer. I'm studying architecture right now (in my 4th out of 5 years) so if all else fails in the real world, I'm most definitely looking into designing for Disney. Heck, even if the real world doesn't fail, I wanna look into it!! :thumbsup2

My best friend is in entertainment at disney,, and i believe he said that in order to audition,, you have to be a specific color to even tryout. Disney has color codes for their characters and i think you have to have a high color for the HSM cast. Not really sure though...:confused3

You don't have to be in equity (except for a couple of people). But you do have to be selected for it once you get into entertainment. You also have to have a certain color code. So you can't just audition for HSM Pep Rally.

The colors basically define your athletic and dancing skills, to be in any parade you have to be VERY good at dancing and in great shape!

An Entertainment Manager is different based on where your placed and what your role is- you can be a stage manager... where you call the shows, you can be placed with the character department, you can be on a special events team... I had a blast!!

I want to work in IT networking for Disney. I'd be in my major and working for the company I love. I'd also like to be a part of the wedding planning team, specifically the reception entertainment area. I'm already an entertainer for a mobile DJ company and do weddings every weekend. It's hard work but it's a blast, and doing it at Disney would make it that much better!
If money wasn't an object though, I'd have to say the Tower of Terror would be my favorite place. I did perma greeter at the Haunted Mansion and that was crazy fun. I also enjoyed extra hours as a door host at the Disco club at PI. I got to dance all night and got paid OT for it!

I've always wanted to play Ariel in The Little Mermaid show at MGM (or soon to be The Disney Hollywood Studios).
But more realistically, I'd love to be a Jungle Cruse "captain, you're tour guide and quite possibly your swimming instructor. Now wave goodbye to those nice folks on the dock because you are NEVER going to see them again!" :thumbsup2:

I'm too old now....but I wish I would have pursued a performer/dancer position when I was younger (hence my user name)
I was a full time dancer/singer at a large theme park in Kansas City at the wee age of 16..... So, I THINK that I would have been able to pursue something at WDW slightly later in life, but I never 'got around' to it.
