Anyone see price decreases with 2008 changes

In April I booked for April 08 AKL-Conc. (HUGE TRIP for us) Its just a one night to celebrate DDs 7th bday and to enjoy the Sunrise Safari.

Since it was only 1 night the deposit paid the entire stay. In April 07, the deposit was $511. I just got a paper confirmation that has an attached letter saying this confirmation shows the changes due to 2008 resort prices. My deposit total is now $438. :) YAY I saved $73. That'll go right into our safari price.

Almost time to call Donald and work on my "plan". So excited!

Has anyone else seen some dips like this?

I think regular season rates start earlier in 2008 because Easter is earlier. Rooms rates are higher in 2008 but seasons are different dates. Value season for Deluxe hotels doesn't start until July 20th in 2008. It was July 8th in 2007.

That VERY well could be it. With an earlier Easter this year I am probably in a different "season" now then I was before. Makes sense! Thanks!!
