Hey WISHers! I was just wondering if anyone knows, is there any difference between the commemorative ChampionChip that the Disney website gives you the option to purchase during registration ($38) and the one that's shown on the ChampionChip website (http://secure.championchipusa.com/cgi-bin/championchip/00003.html?id=CumFjVec) ? ($35) I don't care all that much about the price difference, but don't see a way to purchase from the Disney site now since I registered last week. Any insider info?

I bought a chip when I registered for the full, and it looks exactly like the one on the championchip site.

Moon - I regretted not getting the ChampionChip when I registered, so I bought it directly from ChampionChip. I had e-mailed Disney Sports asking how to purchase a chip and they pointed me towards buying it directly from ChampionChip. I've used it in all my races so far this year...love it! (Wow my sneakers were so much whiter back then...)

If you regret not purchasing a pin you can still buy it from the Disney site. Go to register for the full, make sure you ask for the pin, but when you get far enough along in the registration process delete the race registration from your basket but keep the pin in the basket. This technique doesn't work for the ChampionChip though.

Wow, the ChampionChip is up to $39 if you register for the 2008 Marathon now.

Thanks Vic for letting me know it's exactly the same! Great pic, Leana! Do you just leave it laced in your shoes at all times? Thanks for the tip about the pin, too. Seems the further I get into this, the more I'm deciding that I absolutely *need* all the relevant memorabilia. That's how they get ya! ;)

Mr. DB, wow, I had no clue they'd upped the price on the Disney site. Guess I'm even gladder there's an alternative available!
