If you book a package that let's say starts at the end of September, but continues beyond the end of the free dining, would your entire stay have the free dining option or would you get the free dining for only those days during that option and then have to pay for dining for the other days? I'm looking to book a package next year and got a reasonable quote from AAA, but am thinking of changing my dates to the end of September in to the beginning of October to take advantage of the free dining. Can anyone help me with this?

Well from what I understand the length of the free dining has shortened over every year. We had planned on this year going Sept. 29 since that was the last date for free dining in 2006.. but free dining this years ends Sept. 22 so that is the day we are checking in instead.. so yes if you check in the last day it is offered then you get it for the remainder of your stay.. I think up to 10 days??

I wonder what happens next year. Since they are changing the loop hole with room rates from your rates stay the same if you arrive during a value season to being a day by day rate depending upon what season you are in so if you start in value but your vacation ends in a non-value season those days will be the non-value season rate. Anyhow I wonder if the free dining will be done the same way next year? Guess we will have to wait and see.

I was wondering the same thing. AND of course, we don't know whether they'll offer Free Dining again next year. Although we've said this for a couple of years now!!

Yep, last year we booked a 10-night stay which started on the final day of the free dining promotion and it was all on the free dining plan.

Free Dining for the general public was offered for check-ins between August 26th and September 22, 2007. This promotion had to be booked by June 24th.

Because I was down there this past Dec I was able to book free dining via the Bounce Back Program. The Bounce Back Program free dining dates started before the general public dates (early August) and last longer (through check ins for Sept 29th). I'll be there Sept 29th-Oct 7th and will have free dining for the entire trip. Food & Wine Festival here I come! :cool1:

Who knows what 2008 could bring this year there was many rumors as to whether they would have free dining or not since Disney offered the bounce back free dining as someone else mentioned and also free dining to UK residents before offering it to the general public and shortened the dates offered compared to last years dates. This year the official news came out in April so you'll probably have to wait till then to know for sure if they offer it again and what the dates will be. You can be sure that as it gets closer to when they would be announcing it the boards will be filled with threads on it. :lmao: Linda

Not every establishment offers the same. I had to check with the manager first before I got a clear idea of their plan.
