AP room discounts & Suprise Birthday present!!

2 Things...... I never like to make things simple!

I have a fantasy passport, and was wondering what discounts i get on rooms. I have never recieved my free magazine i'm supposed to get (Annual Plus I think its called) :( I'm looking to go in the first 2 weeks of October, which brings me on to my next topic............

I am planning on suprising my gf with a trip over there. I have stayed at santa fe twice, and as good as it is, it lacks that special disney magic. Which Hotel should i book, knowing that my budget is pretty stretched as were getting married in disney world next year :)

I've yet not been staying at a Disney Hotel, but was comparing prices etc. in 2006, and Newport Bay Club seemed to be the best bundle of "not too pricey" and "luxurios". New York had almost the same price class, but I didn't even like the floors there (was entering the Resort through New York's lobby as we use to park there), it was very New York'ish but not so much Disney.

Newport looks fine, got those nice specials like Fast Passes, is probably more expensive than Santa Fe but probably either worth it!

Sequoia Lodge-slightly cheaper than Newport Bay a little more pricey than the santa fe and cheyenne but beautifully themed.
