I called the office at 9:00AM, but got a message saying they're closed on Sunday's. You are invited to leave a message and phone number for a guide to contact you.

Unless someone is onsite and able to report, we may have to wait awhile longer to find out the scoop!

Stay Tuned!

This is what we know from speaking to our guide this morning. Cost is $75 per point. They will give you a discount of $5 per point if you buy as an add on at least 100 points. Or you can choose instead of the discount per point free nights at select WDW resorts. If you buy 100 points you can get 3 free nights. If you buy 150 points you get 5 free nights, 210 points-7 free nights and so on. You can pick from just about any of the hotels except Grand Floridian. You can use the free nights up to July 2003. Dues are $3.76 per point. Our guide called us because we were on the wait list at BWV for points. Interest rates are 11.50% for 3, 5. 7, or 10 years. 8.5% for 1 year. We would get our points for 2002 when our use year starts. (Sept). Dues will be prorated.

Are the incentives only for current members doing add ons? Or do they apply to new purchases as well?

The incentive apply to new purchases as well and if you are a new purchase you get your points starting Feb 1st of this year. You can't use them unitl BCV opens, but this would mean you get points this year as well as a whole new set of points on Feb, 2003

You're saying that on 1/2/02 you get Feb 2002 points, does Dec use year have to wait until 12/02 for points or do they get some now?....spruce

Spruce, we have Dec use year as well- won't get points until Dec, but won't have to pay dues, either. If you have a Feb use year you will be charged dues from Feb on. You can advance your points (similar to borrowing). Deeds will be recorded June 1, Price goes up to $80 after that. Down payment due in two weeks, financed payments start July 15 or Aug 1.

Kem330, I had to hang up with Susie so she could call you so I didn't get those details. Are you saying with a new contract and a Feb use year, I would have to pay my dues starting now, but I wouldn't have to start paying financing payments until July 15th? Thats great, I thought I would have to start paying the financing now too! Susie is great. Thanks!

To make a very long story short, I have 175 bwv points. DH got own contract in Jan at wlv. Well the day after we get home from vactaion Kmart does the bankruptcy thing. DH works for K-Mart, so we had to cancel contract. Well, due to nice tax refund, no payments to July rumors etc, we may go forward and do 150 pts at bcv. My question, what are all the available use years? Mine is August, but I would almost prefer his be a different year. We always go in January and usually July. What would be a good second use year?

At the other DVC resorts, they did not sell January, May, July or November. Assuming BCV is the same, you may want to look at December or June.

All use years are available. I made our purchase (WOO HOO!) and we're in IL, Ask Terry S because she is from MI and I think she is able to purchase. Terry, the way Susie explained it, is two weeks from now we have to make downpayment (less $5/point if we use that incentive) then June 1 it will be recorded and payments start July 15 or Aug 1 depending on what day of the month you want automatic payment made. Dues for you most likely will be payable in June but prorated from this February.

Any one know if NY is approved for BCV sales? I am waiting for our guide to answer my email. We are not going to WDW until Dec. Thanks !

Here's another question - If you purchase a new contract, when will you be able to use those points to make a reservation? In March? Or in June when the deed is recorded? Or in August when the BCV officially open?

Kimber

Yes we have 175 pts at bwv since Jan 2000. Should have bought more then, but you know what they say about hindsight. We have been in the area for about 4 years. When is warms up, look for my DH, he is in that river almost every day after work all summer long. I swear he should just live on city island.

Debby7 - no, NY is not approved. In fact when my guide called me yesterday, she said she couldn't even give me info over the phone because I live in NY. I will see her in a couple of weeks when we are down there!

Grotto, I am doing a new purchase and I was told by a guide this morning that I could make my reservation in March for the BCV for this August.

Terry, maybe you'll know the answer to this one....

I understand that beginning in March you can make reservations for BCV for August. The question is, beginning in March could you use your BCV points to reserve another DVC for a stay between March and August? I'm guessing the answer is no and that's why they are offering the free stay incentives. Do you know for sure?

Terry S

PamOKW, I posted this for you on the other thread, but my understand, I may not know what I am talking about, but my understanding is no, you can not stay at any resort until after BCV is open, you can make the reservation following the 11/7 month rule, but can't acutally stay anywhere until August. I think this has to do with the fact that there is not inventory at BCV to in essence "trade" to the other resort that you would be staying at.

Then it follows that I should be able to use my BWV points right now (really Monday, when MS opens) to make a reservation for an August stay at BCV. It's within the 7 month window.

I not really going to though, but it only seems right that the non-BCV DVC resort owners be able to make reservations at BCV (subject to the 7 month window) if BCV owners will be able to make reservations at the non-BVC DVC resorts for stays beginning in August.

Can't imagine it would work any other way.

Terry S

CarolMN... Actually, no one can make ressies at BCV until March 6th, but after that you are correct you or anyone else could make them in the 7th month window for stays after August 1st.
