Can anyone suggest a good, accessable on foot, place to get a pic of the Hollywood sign for when we are in LA?

Thanks in advance!

If it's a nice day, not too much haze, you could get a great shot from the Hollywood & Highland complex (particuarly if you have a zoom of any kind on your camera). The have a bridge that connects two parts of the mall, where you can stand and look at a great view of the sign.

Hollywood and Highland was going to be my suggestion too. The view there is very good and since the complex already has a lot to see, Mann's Chinese next door and El Capitain across the street its nice to be able to do that at the same stop too.

I'm interested in this location...so as you can tell, I'm a tourist with a capital "T". Are the two theaters are across the street from each other....AND I can get a photo of the Hollywood sign????? It would be a dream come true! We are trying to do the speedy tour of LA....

Yes, the Chinese Theatre and El Capitan are across the street from each other at Hollywood & Highland, plus you can get the Hollywood sign from the overlook in the H&H complex. All in one convenient spot!!

I was also going to say Hollywood and Highland shopping complex.

Also....next door to the El Capitan is Jimmy Kimmel's studio. And a few doors up from that is the Disney Soda Fountain and Studio Store! Inside of Hollywood and Highland is the Kodak Theatre.
