View Full Version : Are there any other W.I.S.H. Racing Team branded items you would like to see?

I know that the creator of the racing team logo, plutosmyfav, has her Cafepress store and we've also got W.I.S.H. racing team socks, hats and shirts but I wanted to know if there are any other items you all would like to see the WRT logo on? (Hoodies? Cinch bags? Workout shorts? anything at all). I full intent to keep the integrity of the design and not tamper (yes, I said "tamper" and not "change") with it at all in the presentation...so what do you all think. I'll mock up the most popular items and if something does seem to have the whole community clamoring for it with everyone's permission I'll look into getting it made. Thank you.

btw, the W.i.S.H. racing logo is screened on both sides.

Update:

The bags are definitely a possibility and would be about $10-12/each shipped the only caveat being that the minimum order is 100. If that's something we can do I'd definitely get the ball rolling.

I really like the bag you just shown. If you have any more examples I would love to see them, but my imagination after a few miles on the treadmill is less than spectacular!!

Well coffee cups are always fun. I would love a black track suit (running suit) to race in, in the winter. When I go to some of the walk races the racers have track suits with their team colors on them.

Coffee cups are available at cafepress:

http://www.cafepress.com/livinglively.61439049

Lots of people have purchased this cup and love it. Keep in mind, I only charge $1 for all WISH art at cafepress

I'd love to know about other reliable vendors out there that could add cool stuff.

I can also add more items to the cafepress store. They've added more merchandice since I first put some WISH stuff there.

Keep up the good work!

The one item that I've been trying to work on but I can't seem to get any headway with...and I've kept this secret for a while but since it's been such a pain to get started I thought I might as well just come out in the open and say it to go ahead and gauge interest would be....

What would you all think about a W.i.S.H. branded Fuelbelt (http://www.fuelbelt.com)?
Would this be something you would want to purchase if given the oppurtunity?
What model would you be interested in if we could only choose one?
How much would you expect to pay for one?

I'm working on a few other items and I'm going to open up plutosmyfav to what I'm working on because of her design experience and we'll see what we can accomplish.

A fuel belt would be cool. You asked for input so I'll give you mine: I'd like to see a fuel belt withn a butt pack for supplies you want to carry during the race, with two regular size pouches for bottles one on each side.

Dave:hippie:

Two of the designs that I was considering from FuelBelt (http://www.fuelbelt) are similar to what you are asking for and the third could have a pocket added to it if need be. The three designs I was considering are:

Helium 2:

Helium 4:

I like this bag. My friend has one from TnT and I want a WISH one. If we could get a lime green one with this logo, that would be cool. However, that color may not be available. I'd take as is. :thumbsup2

Given the amount I sweat, I've been thinking at some point I might need a fuel belt for training and/or events. I will leave it to the more experienced though as to the better types and/or design, but a pocket would be great for carrying a key and cell phone when I reach the point of longer training walks and, when doing WDW events, carrying the room key, park pass (for getting back through EPCOT), money for a post-race yard or twelve at the R&C, as well as a Kitchen Sink at B&C (post race you're supose to replenish carbs, right?) and maybe a small camera for photo-ops during the race (if I can get my pace to a level I have time to stop for a few).

I haven't been able to find any cinch bags in highlighter green but if you know any please let me know (that's why I chose black instead of navy, green, or maroon).

Sunny?

Did Cafepress add any shirts that are tech fabric? I don't train in cotton shirts anymore and well that Turkey with the Speedwork is right up there for our John Bingham Turkey Trot LOL That and the Thanksgiving mileage converter.

Oh and thanks for the link again, every so often i check but today i really really noticed the magnet and probably because I was thinking of what to do for decorating for our Oct trip it spoke to me. I think the Disney room doors are metal??? If so how kewl would it be to have THAT magnet on my door proudly proclaiming that WISH racers sleep there :cheer2: (referring to the BRIGHT green one)

I don't have anything else coming to mind for other needs. Maybe Lime Green WISH luggage tags. Like the ones that Disney does for it's Marathon. It's the typical rectangle with the theme on one side and the other actually works very well as a photo holder which I now place corresponding race photos in and in January had them hanging off my backpack I was at the time carrying around the parks. The LIME would stand out and would be a perfect holder for a WISH photo :)

Diane, you're just full of good ideas. I like the door magnet idea. However, I'd be afraid someone would steal it. I would still like one, though. Another thought - a mini printed poster (5"x7" or similar) stating the same thing. Someone might steal that as well but it may not be as expensive and you could purchase several of those. Just a thought.

I also like the luggage tags. The lime green would be so easy to spot. :thumbsup2

The hard part is finding someone that has lime green tags or can print lime green on a tag (and it's really more of a fluorescent green than a true lime green anyways) without having to charge to get fullcolor ones done (muey expensive)...

But I could stick 'em on my carry on, my suitcase, my backpack, my lunchbox, my thermos, my computer, my shirt, my cap, my kid,....I could stick 'em lots of places! :rotfl2:

We've already been there and done that. I actually have a few left if anyone's still interested.

I would caution getting too carried away with any of this before checking with a WISH board moderator on what the rules would be with mass WISH team merchandising. What's been done to this point has been small scale and 'sold' back to teammates at cost + shipping. I don't know who technically 'owns' the logo, disboards, the person who came up with W.I.S.H., or Sunny who designed it.

Well, I'm not planning on doing a mass W.i.S.H. merchandising. I'm only try to throw out my own ideas and let the community express their interest. I have spoken with plutosmyfav (Sunny) and she knows what I'm doing and may be working together with me on a few things if they come to fruition. At this point just treat anything in this thread as design exercises.

I've added just about everything CafePress has to offer for merchandise. I need to modifiy the dimensions of the WISH logo to add the oval sticker and a couple of other things.

www.cafepress.com/livinglively

NOTE: My WISH merchandise is marked up $1.00. I'm not trying to get rich off of the WISH team! It cost money to keep the cafepress store online, so I add a small mark up.

Also, whilel you are there, you might want to check out my "incognito" Goofy/Mickey race art. Disney made me take off my original arr (like the clippies we use), so I got real cleaver wtih tihings like "39.3 is the new 26.2" and "Goofy: it's all bout the bling" They can't copyright that!!!!!

Well for a 1.5x2.5" it would be something like $105 shipped plus overprinting per 1000. I know that doesn't sound like much but you'd have to sell them all just to make your money back...and I don't know if we can actually sell all that many..

Great idea, Carrie! I was thinking the same thing. I'm not much into wearing lime green shirts but I'd proudly sport a WISH tattoo during every race.

This caught my attention because I am thinking of doing something TOTALLY out of character for me. IF I am able to run the Medtronics Twin City marathon, I'm going to get a "tramp stamp" tatoo. My Dx told me they are called tramp stamps-- the ones across the lower back that only show with really low cut jeans or when you bend over. I wouldn't wear low cut jeans so I wouldn't expect it would ever be seen by the world. BUT If I can conquer this major challenge in my life, I'm getting 26.2 artistically and permanently put on my body!!!!!!!!!

When I say "out of character" I really mean it. Dx was in the marines and I told him if he had gotten a tattoo back then I'd never have considered dating him!!!!

I know you are talking about temp. tatoos, but the subject caught me as being so amazing considering my recent lapses in sanity....
