Ok people...I KNOW you won't let me down here.
DH and I are planning a trip to Vegas and I need some help finding a certain place to eat that I saw on tv.
NOW...the thing is...I don't remember what show it was on...it was a male I know that..he was in Vegas JUST of the strip at a BBQ place.
They cooked outside on a big grill...huge plates full of food for very little money..
I know this is a like finding a needle in a haystack...but I trust that SOMEONE...an ANGEL will know just where I'm talking about!
I trust THE ALMIGHTY BOARDS will come through for me!!

I don't know the TV show you mention and I'm not sure what "JUST" off the strip means (walking distance?) so hopefully someone else will know. But I always stop at Memphis Championship Barbecue on Warm Springs Rd. It's pretty close to the strip (south/east) - but not walking distance. And I love Big Mama's Rib Shack on Bonanza Rd. It's north of the strip not too far from downtown, so that's probably not it.
I hope someone knows what you're referring to - I'd love to find a great barbecue place close to the strip that's really cheap.

JUST off the strip meaning I thought you could just walk there from the strip.
OH its driving me crazy!! It was just a small place if I remember right...you got ribs, chicken, corn, beans, bread...for like under $10...ALL ON ONE PLATE!
OH I wish I could remember!!

It sounds like the deal at the Ellis Island casino. Be prepared to wait as it has a very small dinning room and is very popular with the ummm "Sun City" crowd
if you know what I mean.

It is the Ellis Island casino. I was going through stuff on my Tivo, and it had recorded a Food Channel show called "The Hungry Detective" that I'm sure was the show you saw.
The first restaurant the guy ate at was Eliis Island for BBQ. The thing is, though, he had a 50% off coupon that he got from a coupon book. So the food was good but the price made it extra good.
Hope this helps!

Glad I could help! It must be good, my parents and their sun city rat pack go every month or so and it's a little bit of a trip for them. Like all Las Vegas restraunts the portions are huge.

Well my mouth is going to have a long time to water....we are not going until June 2008. By then, I will know exactly what I want from the menu. :lmao:

yeah its right behind Paris hotel about 5 minute walk from Balleys ....but I would think you are more likely to be part of a scene from cops over there....I second the Big Mamas BBQ.....they are the bomb and authentic southern cooking
