Anyone else excited about this ToT event?

I've done a lot of races, some out of town and even some at DisneyWorld, but for some reason I'm just really really excited about this one. I know I'm officially not right, but does anyone else feel this way?

Three more weeks in Aug, then Sept and most of Oct so lots of time left, but I'm ready now!

So if you are as excited as me say "heck yeah", so I don't feel strange.

Someone at the Senior Games asked me if the WISH Racing Team was a world class racing team. I said the Team is mainly a group of marathoners but they were definately world class people.

HECK YEAH!!! though I've just spent the past week sick with no miles and no gym time. I'm hoping to start back up again tomorrow with some gym time.

Robert? I figure it's because they are afraid we'd request something be changed to the course. More food/drink stations, more potties, a different course that works better for US LMBO I have this feeling it will be in September because the LAST day of Summer is 9-22-2007. They said it would be up this summer and technically they have until 9-22-2007 to keep to their word. :lmao:

Bigger question... when are they going to let us taste test the gatoraide/powerade flavor for the marathon weekend so they have time to change it since we won't like it :lmao:

Happy healthy training thoughts for all :yay:

Heck, yeah!! I just have to get through CDC first (I am SOOOO intimidated about the heat and an unfamiliar course) and then I'll be able to get very excited.

I'm excited - it's my first Disney race AND my son finally "gets" the characters so I can't wait to see him all excited. Plus, at my last run, my MIL taught him how to cheer racers - nothing better than a toddler yelling "wrun wike da wind!"

You need to teach him to say "walk wike da wind", also.:)

Kate that is tooo cute!!!

Vic! I'm with Judy on that and you gotta warn people before posting like that. I about choked on what I was eating :lmao:

I'm soooo excited, between the ToT and the Marathon weekend it's amazing i can actually concentrate on anything else. Coming off my cold (a week! yuck!) they were the driving force that got me out of bed this morning and to the park to walk with Mom for 3.75 miles. I ran some but all in all coming off a cold I was happy and to follow that with weights and a treadmill at the gym. My days off are basically dedicated to those 2 weekends. If I'm not a super model by Marathon weekend it won't be from lack of trying :rotfl2: Ok the ice cream might hold me back a bit ;)

Happy training and CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU ALL!!!!

Healthy pixie dust thoughts for all :)

Heck Yeah! And I'm not even going! :sad2: I'm excited for all of you!

I will not be attending as we are taking a family trip to WDW in December and then I'll be back (solo) for Marathon Weekend in Jan.

I will be participating in ToT vicariously through all of you! :thumbsup2

(Oh, I'm so jealous of all those entered into ToT :headache:. Oops, I'm sorry; did I actually type that thought out? It was supposed to stay in my head. :rolleyes1)

Happy Training All!

I think we are going to have to invent a new word because EXCITED doesn't even come close to describing how I am feeling about this event. First off I love WDW and thought that going in Jan (full) and May (Minnie) was really fabulous. Throw in a totally unexpected trip in Oct for ToT! Wow! How spoiled am I?! Then factor in the ToT party pace - since I am slow this is the first WDW event where I won't be looking over my shoulder for sweepers! Yay! Then add in the novelty of a night-time event with a glow-in-the-dark tech shirt and I am practically vibrating with joy. Oh - and yesterday I just found out that my XSIL is going to be able to join me for part of the week - she loves WDW as much as I do and the last time we were there together was her last trip in 2003! Not only is she signed up for the 13K, she recruited two friends! ToT will be my 7th WISH event and I am so looking forward to seeing my teammates, both those I've already met and those who I haven't yet! How awesome is this going to be???!!!

You forgot to mention that this might just be the biggest coolest WISH event ever. We are sure getting to know each other better because of the ToT.

I'm REALLY excited as well. This will be such a cool event - seeing all my WISH teamates and running at night for the ToT!

Glow in the dark race shirts....too much fun!

Now if I can just make it through some (maybe rough) hurdles between now and then....:scared:

Another thing I think is awesome cool is the WISH Team is runners and walkers who encourage each other like one huge family.

Oh, I agree, Dave. If it hadn't been for the support of this team, I would not have been here. This month marks my one year anniversary of my getting off the couch. I'd never been much of a walker, let alone part runner. Exercising was something I would do in 2-week sprints and then stopping for long periods of time. A friend put the buzz in my ear but it was this team that got me going.

WISHers are the best! :thumbsup2
