Santa's Beach Blast??????

So here is what I found

"Santa’s Beach Blast
(November 16, 2007 thru January 6, 2008)
Join a California Christmas Beach Party where Santa welcomes guests dressed in California beach wear. Santa poses for pictures next to his ‘Woody’ Wagon sleigh. Children will love the interactive games and Lilo and Stitch limbo."

This is at DCA. I have never heard of this before, is it new? can someone fill me in? We are going in December.

It first started in December 2003. We have seen it twice. My son and I liked it.

I haven't done it but from what I have seen it looks cute. Santa sits in a little cabanna with a hawaiian shirt on and in the past they had Sand Castles around and decorations.

We go every year several times during Christmas season. Santa is dressed in beach clothes (board shorts and a hawaiian shirt) and you can take pictures is a sand sleigh or a sand throne. There are sand-men (instead of snowmen) and the reindeer are sitting in lifeguard towers. There is a Beach Boys cover band and hula hooping, etc all beach themed activites instead of the traditional snow themed stuff. Pretty fitting for So Cal!
