This is our 1st time to go FD. What would you suggest is good for the snacks under the free dine plan that we can have each day? I think it is 1 per day per person.
Thanks!!:goodvibes

At the POP they have the Enteman's (sp?) dount packs that are for one snack credit. We got one of those and had breakfast for a few days. I thought that was a good deal. We used a lot of our snack credits on Mickey Bars and water. We were never hungry so we grabbed a bunch of cookies, popcorn and snacks that travel well for our ride home and to give to friends.

A good deal of our snack credits went to water. With the full counter service and table service meals we were not that hungry during the day. Also, it was great to get a piece of fruit in the morning (we usually pay OOP for bkfast.)
My DS did enjoy a couple of Mickey ice cream bars during our trip. By not getting it everyday, it was a real treat.

They are the box of 6 entenmanns donuts. Very wise use of snack credits if you are looking to max the $$ value of the snack credits.
The Onion rings at Flame Tree BBQ in Animal Kingdom also give good value for the snack credit. In MK the Dole Whip Float was my top value pick. I'd rather pay oop for the cheaper stuff like water & Mickey Ice Cream Bars.
Check out the DDP threads for more info of what's available for snack credits.

When we were there last year, we had ridden Expedition Everest 3 times in a row and about to go for #4, when DD said she was hungry. In the gift shop, we spotted a bag of Chip and Dale's trail mix. So we used a snack credit for it. I believe it was $4, which was the max amount for a snack. Anyway, we all snacked on that, and ended up bringing 22 bags home with us.
I refused to use snack credits for drinks or ice cream. It just seemed to be a rip off to waste a snack credit on a $2.50 drink or a banana. Incidently, the other 5 snack credits were spent on bags of Gummy worms from Goofy's Candy Store.
I thought the trail mix was the best deal. The bags are pretty decent sized. A comparable bag at the store here goes for about the same amount, so I didn't even feel like I was paying amusement park prices.

I had water, beer and a few snacks delivered to our resort on our arrival day so that we could use our snack credits for the real deal! Everyone in our party had a different idea of what a good snack is - some loved the ice cream, some loved the treats at the bakeries, etc, and some loved coffee drinks (me!).
Either way, there is something for everyone. Quite honestly...go and eat what you want to eat...don't bother with the price of something. If it looks good and you want it...get it!
