I'm watching this new show on ABC where there are 12 people who are overweight (2 are over 400 lbs and 1 is over 500 lbs).

They are starting them off walking the Boston Marathon. Ok, that's not even easy for healthy people to walk 26 miles.

I'm a little leary????

Ok, I feel better. They are having them do it on different days. They did 5 miles on their first day. 26 miles for anyone who doesn't train isn't good. I got scared for a second, lol!

One of the participants is a DISer and WAS going to be on the upcoming cruise I am on this October.

Was b/c he is going to be a Dad so he and his lovely bride had to cancel their cruise until next year.

BigBen's post. (http://disboards.com/showpost.php?p=19559703&postcount=974) He really didn't say anything about the show other than he would be on it and we should watch.

I missed it last night.

I hadn't planned on watching the show but after hearing that there is a DISer on the show I've already set my Media Center to tape it next week. Thanks for the info!

I watched "Fat March" last night. "Michael" is BigBen who posts here on the DISboards. I thought the show was very interesting.

I thought it was pretty good. A nice space filler anyway until The Biggest Loser comes back!

I tuned in because there was nothing else on and was pleasantly surprised. I think I will be following this one for a while. How neat that there is a fellow DISer on the show. I tried to find some other posts by BigBen,but of course the search engine was useless. I wonder if he is posting anywhere about this.

He posts occasionally on our cruise meet thread, he is a very funny and nice man.

I was pleasantly surprised by the show too. Its on Mondays in central Illinois.
