Need quick locker advice for tomorrow!!

Hey Folks,
I am in Orange at my workshop right now, planning on leaving Chapman U at 5:00 a.m. to take the OCTA bus back to DL for one last half day, and I need some help!

I want to leave my carryon and one other bag in a locker while I'm strolling around DL, but am I going to have to pass through the security check to put them in a locker? Or are there some lockers outside that area?

I haven't been to DL since 9-11, so I can't say for sure, but I believe there are lockers in the area between the 2 parks for those who want to take a picnic lunch. I assume that would be after the security check points.

You will have to pass through security before getting to any of the lockers. also the lockers are pretty small. They may fit a backpack and a coat, but it will be a challenge to cram in a carryon and another bag.

I'm back (I only had access to a computer for a short time at my workshop), and no, noone recognized my mickey head.

I had a wonderful time the first 2 days (Thur, Fri), and I will give a slightly more detailed trip report soon, but suffice it to say that I rode everything I wanted to multiple times, and had very minimal wait times for everything (thanks to my DIS board advice):thumbsup2 . THAT in itself was very satisfying!:woohoo:

And the answer to my question, I found, is yes, there are locker rentals outside the security gate on the Downtown Disney side of the park entrance.

Also, there are Jumbo sized lockers for $15.00 that will hold A LOT. My carryon, messenger bag and camera fit in there with room to spare. :thumbsup2

Oh, and if those lockers wouldn't have been outside the security gate, I would have been sunk, because the cm wasn't going to let me in with a carryon bag. :eek:

Where are those big lockers outside of the security gates?

When we go next month we are going to do the Segway Tour at DCA.
It's at 7Am, so I was going to put my backpack in a locker so my MIL won't have to lug it while toting my 2 kids on the monorail.
We'll finish up our tour at 10am, so I could just pop over to the lockers to get my stuff and then meet them in the park.

Did you enjoy being at the park by yourself? Did you make friends while waiting in line?
I guess Albort didn't see your LGM while at DCA...
Did other guests ask about your LGM?
I still need to get to Home Depot to get mine.
