I'm so thrilled! I can't quite believe it, it feels so surreal - we have our date! 5th August 2008! We are getting married at 10am at the YC Gazebo, then having our reception at the GF Whitehall, then our dessert party at the UK Lower Terrace. We're spending 2 weeks with our families as we're all flying over from the UK, and then DF and I are off on the 2 stops at Castaway Cay Bahamian Cruise. I am so overwhelmed I could burst! I'll start my PJ soon, but I just had to tell the world! We're getting married!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :wizard:

Yay, that's my date too! We're doing WP at 2:30 with a reception at Ariels, and Italy Isola for our dessert party. I asked about the UK terrace and they said someone else was interested, so that must have been you. Congrats on getting your date, I called today to check on mine and was relieved to get ours too!

It's you!!! :goodvibes
First off it's me you're beloved little sister, I'm here for one post and one post only (then shall vanish off to research my travelling with way too many small people :lmao: ) as I swear i am so not spying on you- this is your stomping ground and i respect that as you do mine but i couldn't not post and say a biiiiig  :cool1:  :cool1: :dance3:
We're all incredibly happy for you, David says you do know he IS coming dressed as the great JT in Saturday night Fever and the kids are really really excited (the stress of 4 of them on a plane for that long may just finish me off but it couldn't be for a better cause) Jude is adament he's being a "Crock-lee-a-dial hunter" although quite worryingly wants the full 3 piece suit... so best of luck to you on that one :rotfl:
I just wanted to let you know that we are all really happy for you and you truly deserve your princess day, you really do :goodvibes
so a HUGE ((((HUG)))) and thank you for being my big sister, good luck with all the planning- you know where myself and the small people are as and when you need us and fear not- i am working on the plan, i'm working on it :rolleyes1
(I am off now, back to my parenting boards to leave you in peace and privacy to plan, vent and do all the stuff i did a few years back!)

I think I may be in a state of permanent panic now for the next 12 months - there seem to be so many things to do! :cloud9:

Hi Orangetiggs,
We get to sign our contract - the letter of agreement - in December, which will be 8 months out from our date :) :goodvibes :)

oh see I was confused when I spoke to DFTW as I though you could not guarentee your date till 8 months if you went with a convention centre reception site! So we have only a few as we thought we would lose our date if we couldnt get our date at 12 months!
I may have to email them now and clarify that as we are not sold on our locations at all for the reception!
When do your save the dates go out?

I am so happy for you, now all the fun can begin! You are right there is so much to do but you can have so much fun planning everything, you will plan it all beautifully I can tell. Feel free to ask as many questions as you like, I know I found these boards a godsend during my planning process.
I can't wait to see your PJ, come on girl, get on with it;)

I have so much to do! I am going to get started right away.... :surfweb: I'm worried that I will turn swiftly into Bridezilla though!
Only a few days to go for you! I hope you're enjoying your smoothies - I made an apricot, pineapple, passionfruit, papaya and spinach (yes, spinach) one this morning :)

I've got no idea when the save the date cards go out - I think I may make some for the whole of our families to try to ascertain if there are any others who do want to come over with us, though.
I was able to book at 12 months, but we don't formally contract until the 8 month mark as our first two locations (YCG and GF) are outside of the parks :)

Yes its so confusing all this 12 month and 8 month mark! We are going with the pavillion and ariels hopefully and we can contract at 12 months so at least I know I cant be bumped for a convention.
Cant wait to hear all your planning as well!

Congratulations :cheer2:
We are going to be there at the same time as you but our wedding is on the 30th of July at 2.30, and we fly back to the UK on the 8th of August. We are also having the Whitehall room but we couldn't get UK lower and had to have Morocco.
Isn't it fun and exciting. Good luck with your planning.
