We are going to be in WDW during the free dining period, but we have AP's and a room with AP discount, so we didn't get the DDP. Every single restaurant that we wanted to eat at is booked solid. Since they look up one resaurant, one day at a time, it would take a very long time to find a TS restaurant with openings.

I'm wondering if there is a list of restaurants that don't take DDP (rather than taking a list of all restaurants and cross referencing the list of DDP resturants)

With a list of non-DDP TS restaurants, I can start looking there first, since I'm assuming that they won't be filled.

Bistro de Paris
Victoria & Albert's
Rainforest Cafe
Bongo's
All restaurants in the Dolphin
All restaurants in the Swan
All restaurants in Shades of Green

There may be more - this is just off the top of my head.

Are you talking about 2007 then since you mention free dinning?

yes, 2007....

3 weeks from now. Last minute trip, so I'm scrambling to get an APR or two to make sure I can have a nice sit-down without waiting an hour or two to be seated, but I'm unable to get any for my large party.

Um hate to tell you this but you may not be seated at ALL without ADRs many places will not even take walk ups no matter how long you are willing to wait.

That's what I'm afraid of... my fear is that it could ruin our vacation.

There's 9 of us and we're all adults. It's my parents, my siblings and their spouses.
We used to go every other year as children and now that we're all adults, we've only been back twice as a family in the last ten years.

We were discussing it when we all got together for a birthday about two weeks ago and thought it would be fun to go back.

The trip is so last minute because it was the only time that was available that everyone could go.

Since the whole point was to be together and hang out, sitting down for a meal or two each day is very important.

If we're reduced to eating all meals on the go or at counter service locations, well, you get the point.

Those two times we've been back as a group, we had no problems making APRs after checking in to the hotel.

Had we known when we booked that it would be impossible to sit down at a restaurant and eat together, then we probably would have gone somewhere else.

I would also call while you are down there maybe each night or in the morning. People do cancel their ADRs so hopefully you'll get lucky.

You should try this thread.... it is all about people who are canceling their ADRs and are offering them to other Disers it works really well and you might have luck

Also I would keep trying to call WDW DINE, lots of people have been canceling lately and things keep opening up. :)

Of course your food will take about an hour to arrive....

(Having tired several Rainforests I feel confident in saying the chain has the WORST overall service... followed CLOSELY by Planet Hollywood. It appears these "Theme" resturants think the "elephants" will distract you from the fact that your glasses are empty and they had to butcher the cow to prepare your hamburger LOL!)

We went to Cap'n Jacks at DTD last year. We called for an ADR while we were at WDW 2 days ahead of time and got in. I also just booked at the Turf Club at Saratoga Springs last week for Aug 31 and got in easily. I heard it is supposed to be good.
