Just a few questions on the room block really.
1. Do you have to choose 3 resorts or can you just choose 1 or 2?
2. If my Guests book through the room block how do they pay for it? eg. do they pay when they book on upon check in?
What kind of discounts are they, we are planning sept 2008 so if you have discounts for sept this year it just gives me an idea.
We normally book a package through a travel agent so I do not know how it works booking with disney direct
Thanks

You can actually book up to 4 resorts, but you can choose to go with fewer. I personally suggest going with at least 3 so your guests will have a choice of prices. We were very surprised with our room block because almost all of our guests chose the deluxe and moderate oprions. Very few went with our value resort.
There is a section on your wedding website where guests can book online or call a special reservation number. They have to pay a deposit when they book, but the balance isn't due until checkout.

Most of my guests have already booked here through a travel agent but its only a handful that havent.
Do you know what the deposit is for booking the rooms?

1. yes you can book anywhere between 1-4 resorts. We did 4 but I think 2 or 3 is fine. We did ASmo, POR, WL, Boardwalk (where the wedding was) we had all these requests for WL and in the end everyone stayed at BW, POR and AsMo.
2. Your guests will pay one night deposit when they book and the balance upon check out. Of course a credit card usually needs to secure the room.
3. I can give you my rates for June of this year...this includes taxes
ASMO- $110.74
POR- $167.63
WL- $253.15
BW- $282.38
Hope this helps!

I think the deposit is one night's cost plus taxes, etc., so it varies by resort.

thats great thanks so much for you help,
We are staying 14 nights at coronado springs booked here and so far we are up to 70 nights and that just with my parents DF parents and his sister and husband and his aunt and uncle. Our min has been well covered but some guests are travelling alone and I though it would be better to book direct with disney as the companies here charge 50% more for single travellers

The discounts are very good -- 30% for deluxes with convention centers. I think it is 10% for value resorts. I can't remember the discount on the moderates and deluxes without convention centers -- it's either 15 or 20% I think.
