Hi. We just got back from a weekend at the trailer on Lake Erie(Canadian side) We came upon a huge sand bar. Just loved it:love: .I found thousands of shells. My family of 5 also helped collect them. Now DD18 and I want to do somthing with them. Weather permitting, we are going back out there next weekend for more.

You could glue them onto cheap IKEA wood frams that come in like a pack of 5 I believe! Then you could put all your beach photo memories in them!!
You could also make a bracelet out of htem by using the holes that are already in a lot of shells or be verrry careful and drill the holes yourself :)
Have fun!!

I saw a woman at a craft fair who used shells to make beautiful artwork. I couldn't tell you how to do it. But she placed shells in a way to make a picture. Maybe there is a tutorial or something like it online? Her stuff was gorgeous. But she was selling it for over $200 for a small piece.
I've made wreaths decorated with shells. Also the picture frame. Even a lamp with a glass base filled with shells.
have fun!

Another idea would be to keep some in a glass bowl of sorts and put it out in the summer on a table, as summer decor! Or even in a tall glass jar and just keep it out year round!

We have some pretty big shells. I was going to see if I could decoupage some pics on them. If it works, I'll post some pics.
Wish me luck.

We used them to decorate mirrors before. They also sell glass jar lamps, that you can fill with the shells.:)
