What does this mean re: Spirit reservation??

I went to the Spirit Airline site to check on prices for our 5/18/02 to 5/24/02 trip. The prices are $189/pp RT, but there was an asterisk over the Fare column which said: One-way flights and flights with more then 45 days between departure and return dates are not eligible for round trip fares and have been calculated at the regular, one-way rates.

If I booked closer to our departure time (less than 45 days out) is there really that big of a price difference? Also, what are the Syber Specials? Thanks again for everybody's help!!!

It just means that if you are buying a one way ticket (rather than a round trip), the price will be higher. Maybe some people assume that a one way ticket should be one half of the round trip fare and that is not necessarily true. Disclaimer probably saves some calls to the reservation agents.

The price will also be higher if you plan to stay for more than 45 days (more than 45 days between the departure and return).

Cyber specials are special fares (usually last minute, limited in number and good for limited travel dates). They are often very good deals. Sometimes they are available only if you book online. I think the airlines do this when they have lots of unsold space and it's getting close to the departure date.
