The last two times we've been down to WDW, we've gotten moderately involved in pin trading. A problem came up last time when we brought the boys in that they lost a bunch of pins while we were walking about because the little rubber mickey head pin backers kept falling off. We bought a few packs of the hex pin locks but that made it terribly inconvenient for them to do a quick trade. This year I am going down with my girlfriend and I am sure that she is going to get bit by the pin trading bug (she already ooooohs and aaaaahs at the pins she sees online) but I doan want to go through the hassle of constantly worrying if some are going to come loose and go for a walkabout on their own. Any suggestions on what to use to keep them on more sturdily and yet maintain the convenience of quick removal for trading?

There are some rubber pin backs manufactured by companies other than Disney that are really tight and hold the pins on better. The ones I have seen are usually tan in color. If I can figure out where they come from I will let you know. I know we use them on lanyards and they hold much better than the Disney rubber pin backs.

I have purchased these pin backs on ebay auction #320143136485. They held on beautifully while we were in WDW and now I use them to keep pins on hats andtote bags. They can be removed real easily (no key required) yet do not fall off.
