canceling or postponing a package?

My brother has a package he booked through Disney for a trip Thanksgiving week. It includes their airfare. He just found out he will need to have major surgery within the next few months so they will not be able to go in Nov.
Can they cancel and get the money back on airfare as well?

They should check with who they booked with, there is more than likely a cancellation fee. BUT, if he purchased insurance he may not be charged, especially if it is medically related. Good Luck and too bad he will not be able to visit... :(...

I have a package reserved and already paid for with WDW and had to move the trip back. There was no problem or any extra fees since I was staying in the same pricing season. I did have my airfare booked separately though. The lady I spoke with at WDW was very helpful. I hope your brother's surgery is successful.
