Yes, they are out and you can view and book online. I just looked.

Has anyone else tried this morning?

Of course, the dates I want are already 'full' which is happening more and more at Disney as more people seem to book, then cancel. Every resort I checked (10) is booked for the Value Season four days I checked next year, so I guess I'll have to keep calling!

From a quick scan it appears the rooms are about $10 more per night, but go have a peek for yourself! The good news was the site responded quickly for a pleasant change!:woohoo:

Have a magical day!:wizard:

I don't think they're really out yet. I tried, and I could plug in my dates, but every single resort said no availability. I don't believe there's really no availability, I think the system just isn't fully up and running yet.

I'm checking it now. I put in my dates and it is also telling me that the resort I want is fully booked, however, when it recommends other hotels, the one I picked is in the list. I wonder if the upload of new files isn't done yet. In either case :woohoo: :woohoo: The rates are nigh.

Yea, they are there but aren't up and runing yet- at least that is what CRO told me when I called this morning. She said they are updating the web site as we speak and everything, including hours and prices should be fully available by August 5. Of course, take with a grain of salt.

I called today as well and they said no rates available yet, but soon. I think they said that very same thing 3 months ago:)

I just tried on the Disney website this morning and it told me 2008 rates are not yet available. It wouldn't even take me to the "no resorts available" page today...:headache:

I think the partial info we were able to get yesterday was a bit of an oops on the part of the programmers, in the midst of updating the system.

Edit: Notice that the "2008 dates are not yet available" error message is rather unstyled and looks like it was just thrown together quickly (read as: yesterday afternoon, when they realized the mistake)

Yes, I just got the "Check in dates for 2008 are not available" message, too. At least that means they are working on the website, which hopefully means 2008 rates will be available soon!!

I'm also anxiously awaiting possible AP rates for November!

what site is everyone getting this info? when I try the Disney site it just says "please pick dates within 3 days of arrival" when I try summer 08.

If you checked Disney's site yesterday, they were showing the range of rates for each resort for 2008 dates. But any resort you picked they would say that it was not available. You could not actually find out the price of your specific days-just the range. Now if you go on the site you get that the 2008 rates are not available. I have received messages to call. Some CM's have been saying the rates are coming out soon. It looked promising yesterday when they had the ranges in. They may be just working on the system now. No one really knows for sure when the dates will be released.

Ditto,

I tried on the official site too this morning (the first WDW pop-up) and just got 2008 rates not yet available. It's better than the three days out thing though right...

Anybody planning a package for summer 08 and concerned for the rate hike. I was told on another thread you can just book room now and then the increase will be added.

2nd--we are planning on going early June at the Poly need 2 rooms (1 for my family of 6-# 6 is an infant and one for my DM) our 180 day out is thus early Dec. That's when I was going book just eager to see the price changes to have a better price ballpark then going off 07 rates.

Would anyone book sooner then that or just wait to be able to do the ADR's at the same time...

Just curious.

Thanks

About a month ago, I booked a pair of rooms at AKL (I have a family of 6, with DMIL coming as well). I would definitely say book whatever you can as soon as you can, to help guarantee getting exactly what you want.

From the "sneak peek" at pricing that we got when the system was partially showing info yesterday, I saw that the price range at AKL went from 215-460 in 2007 to 225-540 in 2008. At the low end, that's a modest 5% increase, at the high end it's 17%. Since we're talking about summer season (value season when you're talking about a deluxe), you'll probably be closer to the lower end of that scale. What isn't certain is if there will be a weekend premium; if so, that helps to explain the huge price increase at the top of the range, but at the same time, also suggests that the weekend rates aren't going to be all that much higher.

With all of my planning thus far, budget-wise, I have a big spreadsheet made out, listing all of the components of my trip (air, hotel, tickets, ddr, any special tickets like P&P that I'm hoping will be relevant, etc), and I've just been assuming 2007 rates + 10%, and filling in more accurate details as I get wind of them (eg. DDR)

Good luck!

I spoke to a CM last night around 10pm, no 2008 rates available and he didn't mention when they might be available.

My AAA travel agent talked to a disney rep this morning. She was told it would be around the 10th before the rates are released. I looked on the WDW website yesterday and it showed that WL standard room was $10 more in value season of 2008. However, the site also showed no available rooms.

I finally got a message other than the "3 days out" message when attempting to book 2008 dates.
This one said something to the tune of "2008 rates are not yet available".

Now why didn't they just say that earlier?! :confused3

Thanks for the reply and tips. Checked online yesterday (8-5) and got a new quote for our Poly stay in 08. It seems to be about a $14 a night difference, and not really a huge difference in our tickets. I roughly figure it will cost us about $170-200 more than in terms of the 07 rates, that on an already $5000+ trip is not a huge dent. Now we are just deciding about wheter to do DDP or not. We may book before Dec. to ensure a good room request and the 2 rooms together.

Good luck with your planning too!:)

My AAA TA booked our packages (WL) this morning for our Feb. trip. I am so pumped.....I was afraid to see the total because last night I read another post on this board which listed the rates, which are now divided by weekday vs. weekend. But to my happy surprise, the total was about the same as it would have been if we went in 2007. WDW here we come!!!!

Wish there was an easy way to do a split-stay reservation (stay at one resort for a few days and then switch to a 2nd resort for the remainder of the trip).
