I am one of the many newbies trying to share and post my photos on DIS boards but am having trouble. I have read the multiple threads about posting photos, and everyone mentions photobucket, BUT...all of my pictures are on Snapfish. Can I use this to post my photos?

I have tried right clicking on a photo in my album to copy the shortcut to the photo, but when I do I just end up posting a long http:/www. address and no photo.

Example:
javascript:gotoSlideShow('http://www1.snapfish.com/slideshow/AlbumID=169997174/PictureID=3560277449/a=101739703_101739703/t_=101739703')

PLEASE HELP!!!!

Erika

If you have java in the link, it will not work. My recollection is snapfish does not link. Photobucket does seem to be the overwhelming choice for linking photos on this and other websites. Maybe just upload the ones you want to post up to PB.

Thanks!
I had a feeling I would have to switch sites

Just testing something:

Heh, heh, heh ... can't make an image out of the URL because the profanity filter doesn't like the S.P.I.C. in the URL ... must think it's a racial slur! :) Also, I don't think Snapfish will let you just see the image without all of their other "page stuff" around it....

It's not as nice as an inline image, but you could always just make a link to your picture (http://www1.snapfish.com/viewsharedphoto/p=35411185994056117/l=289367405/g=101739703) by cutting and pasting the http://www1...g=<big number>.

Just watch those racial slurs! ... apparently, it works just fine if you cut-n-paste up to the g=<big number> in the URL....
