For me, I'd love to have a west coast 50's Prime Time Cafe. Not the greatest food, but the whole premise is so much fun, it's always been a favorite of mine.
Another one I'd like to see out here, though it's not a restaurant is the Adventurer's Club. I'd be hanging out there nearly every night of a vacation if it was at Disneyland. I love people watching there so much. :)

The only area of DLR that needs to catch up a bit with WDW. (imo) Great thread!
My Top 3:
Brown Derby - (hello...the original was in Hollywood). & Great Steaks.
Ohana - Great family restaurant.
German Beirgarten - because.....just because.

Sorry if I can't remember the names, but we really loved the African restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, and the full-service Moroccan restaurant at Epcot.

Here's another vote for Sci-Fi Dine-In.

...and another vote for Sci-Fi. I think it would fit into existing themes (movies).

I voted SciFi and to be more specific, I would love to see SciFi at DCA in the HPB area. It would fit great.

I believe you are thinking of Boma.
I'd love to have Le Cellier (in the Canada Pavillion at EPCOT) or at least something similar--the food is yummy! I also love the Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge.

I would like to see something like Coral Reef. The aquarium and seafood theme would fit in well with the west coast theme....not to mention YUMMY!

Only one?
It is nice that there are some unique things to WDW and DL, but I would definitely love to see some more themed dining here. It would be especially nice for DCA, perhaps as part of the renovation. My favorite themed dining at WDW is probably 50's Prime Time, followed closely Sci-Fi; ideally, I'd like to see something unique for DL, but with the same type of fun factor that these two have.
I'd also love to see Spoodles come to DTD.

Le Cellier. Amazing steak. DL needs a steakhouse in a park. Though I'm not sure where it would fit in.

I agree with sci-fi, and put it next to the monsters inc. ride

It might also be Jiko. :)
Is the kiosk for Beaver Tails still in Canada? I'd love to have one out here. It's been years since I've had one, but I still think about them whenever I think about WDW. :goodvibes

I loved the 50's prime time and the Sci Fi. DCA really could use a themed restaurant.

:tinker: I would love to see one of the dinner shows. My favorite is the Hoop Dee Doo. It has delicious food and the show is great for all ages. Plus it's so neat to watch the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach of FW when the show gets out!

I would like Jiko OR Boma - they are both fabulous.:goodvibes
And a good seafood restaurant, like Coral Reef. Yum.
We really liked LeCellier, too, but don't think it would go as well here as it does in Epcot in Florida.:confused3

Put me down with another vote for Boma - we LOVE that place!
Does anyone remember the Soap Opera Bistro at DCA? That was a "themed" restaurant, a la Prime Time Cafe or Sci Fi Dine-in...but it didn't do well and didn't last very long. Too bad...I thought it was fun.
