I'm starting a new DIS game! I'll ask a Disney trivia question about a character, movie, TV show, theme parks, merchandise, special event, or Disney cruise, then the person who answers the question correctly gets to ask the next question. Please no multiple choice! 24-hour rule applies. Here's how each question should be set up:

Category (character, movie, TV show, etc. - all categories are listed above)
Level of Difficulty (1-5, 1 being the easiest)
Question
Hint (hints are optional for questions in the 1-2 range, but are required for questions in the 3-5 range)

Here's an example for a "1" question: Where is Walt Disney World located? Obviously the answer is Orlando (/Lake Buena Vista), Florida.

Here's an example for a "5" question: What was Daisy Duck's original name? Hint: Think of a famous singer, but drop the prefix "Ma" off the beginning of her name. The answer is Donna - Daisy was called this when she first appeared in "Don Donald" in 1937.

OK, here's the first question in the Mickey Mania DIS Game!

Category: Theme Parks
Level of Difficulty: 3
Question: What was in the spot of Disney's California Adventure Park, before it was built?
Hint: Cars spend a lot of time here.

Anybody know? :goodvibes If you do, post your answer here and ask a new question!

Two guesses, tell me if either of them is correct:

It got struck by lightning - I know it got struck sometime during construction, but not sure if that's why they built a smaller version

OR

If any building in the state of Florida exceeds 200 feet in height, there has to be a flashing red light on the top of it, so Disney didn't want to put a red light on TOT.

Oh, boy - watching Travel Channel specials really DOES help your Disney knowledge! :goodvibes

Since I'm the OP on this thread, I'll add two new categories: Beyond the Parks & International Parks! Beyond the Parks category can deal with anything on WDW or DL property outside of the theme parks, such as resorts, Downtown Disney, water parks, etc. International Parks can deal with Disneyland Resort Paris, Tokyo Disneyland Resort, and Hong Kong Disneyland.

I'm also adding a new rule: If a question has not been successfully answered in 48 hours, we move on to a new question to avoid this thread from "dying". The person who asked the hard question is the one that will get to ask a new one.

Here's the first question in the new "Beyond the Parks" category!

Okay...I have found an answer, I think. There are three playing. The Grim Grinning Ghosts is the only song played and sang, but each ghost sings their own version. There also can be heard two other songs, in two of the scenes. Is this the answer you had, or no?

Well I was told on the Keys to the Kingdom tour that only 1 song was playing, they just speed it up and slow it down...
