VMK Rumors are NEVER TRUE (Rant)

Sorry, but I am just getting a little tired of all the threads asking if the latest rumors are true. They are NOT. If someone tells you something is coming out, DO NOT believe them unless it is in the newsletter. I don't think any of these rumors have ever been true. Do not believe it unless it comes straight from yavn. If they claim yavn said it, do not believe them unless it is on a fan site with screenshots. And sometimes, even if yavn says it, be prepared to wait a while longer. ;) If anyone can prove to me that a rumor that had not been said before is true, well, I will go insane.

So i guess the rumors about Burger King & KFC coming to VMK aren't true, and i was justing those Virtual Double Whoppers and Extra Crispy pieces of chicken, well there goes my plans for cheap weekend dates. :rotfl:

Agree!! :thumbsup2 It does get a little annoying that so many of them will pop up. We have no clue what is to come and the other VMK players don't either no matter what they make think. :rolleyes: We can't even always trust certains said by Yavn that it will ever come. For the most part though we have been lucky enough to get most the things said in his newsletter compared to not though. Of course sometimes its a timing issue more.:laughing: I think alot of us would love to see some of the things that end as rumors of things to come but its rumors and nothing more.

Actually, the only rumor I remember hearing is the one about the Blue Flip Hat coming on sale Lol. Other than that, I haven't heard any rumors. Also, I don't see them as something to rant over. Yeah maybe some can get annoying and put you down when they turn out to be false. :rolleyes: But on a whole, they're funny to hear and refreshing to wonder about. They put some fun back into vmk after you hear all about "the bad stuff" and horror stories of taken, baby, scams and scammers! Yes those things happen, but vmk isn't a totally bad place to be! I think you're overeacting about ranting on about harmless rumors. But that's just me. :rolleyes1

heh Rumors are going to happen in VMK or RL, so we just have to deal with it. People like to spike a rumor to get attention, just learn not to feed them the attention and pass it along. Believe it when it happens.

Here is something to rant about, when a rumor actually comes to reality how about those people who state "they were the ones who said it was going to happen." Please give me a break.

I'm not ranting about rumors, I'm ranting about people posting about them on here. And by the way, I don't see how it is funny to hear about how people are lying to others and getting them all hyped up for something that won't happen.

I definitely agree! I can tolerate the rumors, but man, it's annoying as heck when all you hear is "I was the one who said it first!" and then you get arguments firing off left and right with the infamous "No! It was me!" - then you get the rant threads about how people try to "take their fame". Good grief. :upsidedow

I think I get mildly irritated with the:

"Does anyone know when _____ is getting released?"
"Is it true that we're getting _____ next week?"

As if people who post to message boards can confirm or deny these things.
We all get the same info. We get the info from the VMK Home Page and
Newsletter items. If it's not posted within the VMK website, nobody here
would really have any clue when items are getting released.

And that is what I think is frustrating Shaymojack.

Did anyone catch the quest over the weekend? One of the items added
that VMK Staff cannot do is tell people when items are getting released.
So if VMK Staff can't share inside info, there's no way anyone on any
message board can, either.

And Disvaclub, I find it hilarious when people feel the need to take "credit"
for reporting the info first. It's not like the DIS issues Brownie Points for
being first. :rotfl2:

I guess if you post something and you see a duplicate post from another person, the best
thing to do is alert the post (the little yield sign on the bottom left) to tell the Mods to merge
the threads.

So your telling us that taken was not banned? That's been one of the latest rumors going around vmk so it isn't true? Not that I do it but my friend does that's why I'm concerned. Personally I think it should be I mean it's a virtual Disney game come on now Lol. :rotfl: But I do admit some of them are funny LOL someone told me they were giving away free inferno in there room and when people went he made them pay to get in then boot pure scam there I reported him Lol.
