We lose a week between Thanksgiving and Christmas this year

Don't know how many realize it, but with Thanksgiving so late this year, there is only 3 -1/2 weeks between the Thanksgiving weekend and Christmas itself. We have lost a full week this year.

For anyone thinking about a holiday (Thanksgiving or Christmastime) trip, you might want to think about this. DVC availability is going to be more difficult.

We realized that too, and because of how our use year falls and banking etc. we had to book for Nov 28 thru Dec 12. Called first thing in morning at 11 month window and got 2 bdr and a studio at VWL. Judging by some of the posts I guess I'm lucky...

Thanksgiving is the 4th Thursday in November. Last year it was the earliest possible day, Nov 22, this year it's the latest possible date, Nov 28. We usually go around December 1, but always fly down on a Saturday. Dec 1 is a Sunday, we didn't want to fly the Saturday after Thanksgiving (probably will be busy) so we're going Dec 7.

Sure glad we booked early - going dec 1-7 2002. I love all the Christmas decorations! Can't wait to WVL - this will be our 1st time there
