I think this was asked before, but without the search function I couldn't find it. We are trying to decide which excursions to pick for our 7-day cruise on 4/6/02. Too many good ones to choose from. A few that catch our eyes are the Golden Eagle Catamaran, Lagoon Kayaking (St. Maarten), Champagne Catamaran Sail and Snorkel (St. Thomas/ St. John), We both like to snorkel, but I would hate to miss out on something else by snorkling both days. We would like to do an excursion at each port, and would love to get your feedback. Thanks in advance.

Just returned from the 1/26 Magic. My husband went on the Golden Eagle catamaran snorkel and the visibility that day was really poor (only 5 feet) and he only saw very small fish. But, they went to a different location than normal because the visibility had been so bad in the morning. He said he still had a great time and the crew and beach were great. We still had time in the morning to go to the beach with the children before he went snorkeling. And there would have been time in the evening to do some shopping before sailing in St. Marten.
I went on the St. John snorkel. It was a great catamaran ride and snorkel. What fun. We went to a reef and saw quite a few fish, of the smaller size. I met a few people who had snorkeled on both days. They weren't sorry. It doesn't fill the entire day. You still have time to do other fun things.
Hope this helps.

We did the 1/19 Golden Eagle Catamaran excursion and had to go to an alternate beach also. We ended up at Mullett Bay. We still had a GREAT time and believe that it was one of the best hightlights from our cruise.
During the morning briefing about the excursion, they informed us that we were going to an alternate beach because of weather conditions and they offered refunds to anyone who didn't want to go the the alternate beach.
FYI: Mullett Bay beach is a french style beach, i.e. you will see some topless bathing.
