My birthday was this past weekend and my hubby gave me the best present ever - Disney!!!

Our anniversary was last month and for my gift, I opened up all the paperwork for a trip he planned all by himself! Wow! It was extra special because he is not quite the Disney Freak I am - but knew that it would be the best place for me to celebrate my birthday. He sure is good to me! We even stayed at the Grand Californian and could see the park from our balcony. What a view to wake up to on my birthday!

Here are the shirts we wore while there. I only made enough for two days since I didn't have all the plan time I would normally have before a trip. Plus we had others from the last trip that we wore again.

This was the first time I did the boutique shirts. They were very easy. I let everyone pick their own fabric, so it was what they wanted. The only thing was that towards the end of the day, the Mickey's were coming off/lifting off the shirts. I'm not sure why - maybe I didn't have my iron hot enough - but they were a huge hit and lasted the day which is all that mattered! I liked the simplicity of them!

For my actual birthday - these were the shirts that we wore. Everyone came up with their own idea and I, of course, designed them. I will post the designs in my thread tomorrow for anyone who may be interested in them. My husband's shirt was priceless and we got lots of comments on it. (again - his idea!)

Amy,

All your shirts look so great (of course!). Sounds like you had a magical trip. You deserve it for all you do for others!

Can you tell me what type of transfer paper you used? I am a little confused about the dark/light thing? TIA

I bought my transfer paper from a vendor on Ebay. I wasn't as impressed with the quality of this set versus the set I bought from them in the past but they were nice enough. I use dark transfer paper for all my shirts but you don't have to.

You can use light transfer paper for white tshirts or some do it for very light colored tshirts, but think of it like this - with a light transfer - all the white areas of the design will print clear. So all white areas of the design will be the color of the shirt. For example, on a pink shirt, all white areas of the design will be pink.

I find that dark transfers also look more vibrant and not glossy - but that is my personal preference. Hope this helped.

Amy, again, you have created great shirt designs! I am so jealous about what your dh did. ;) Can he talk to my dh? :lmao: I am glad you had a great birthday.

Can you do the Donald Duck one for me except with Disney World? My dh would definitely wear that shirt. :lmao:
