Hi guys. I was wondering if you could help me with which is the best part of SSR to stay in. I want to stay in either the Paddocks or Congress park. I wanted to know which area was the best and which one(s) you would reccomend. Thanks.

The springs. It's really close to the lobby and pool :D
I've stayed in both areas you mentioned, so I'll toss in my two cents.
The Paddock is the first/second on the bus route, always. So you get on first in the morning and you get off first at night. Although, I reccomend using the bus stop for Carousel if you're in the section of the Paddock nearest that building, if not it's a long walk. It's a bit far from the lobby/pool, but the walk isn't impossible (think MK entrance to the castle).
Congress Park, on the other hand, is second to last on the bus route. The walk to the lobby/pool is the same as if you were in The Paddock. But, you can walk to Downtown Disney from Congress Park. The quiet pool is really really nice in Congress Park, too. You're near the waterway here, while when you're in the Paddock, you're nearer to the entrance/highway.
But I will say this: The Grandstand area looked really, really nice while I was down their in November. The pool looked amazing and they weren't even done building it yet.

Actually, since the Grand Stand opened, it's first on the bus route.
I really reccomend the Grand Stand. They have the nicest pool outside the main, and that pool is NEVER crowded. It has a bar and fountains to play in. It's fairly close to the main stuff, but you it's at a slightly lower elevation that the rest. I reccomend buildings 8101-8436 and 8501-8836.
SSR is my home resort, and the Grand Stand is my favorite section.

im not sure, last time we stayed in the springs, which was amazing. i loved it. we're going again in like 5 days to saratoga and my mom requested a room overlooking downtown disney, and im not sure what one that is. all of them are probably amazing. i think you can take the bus to the lobby or near it if your far away from it. thats what we did in old key west.
^Thanks for that. I didn't know where Grandstand would be on the bus route. I'll have to remember that. They weren't done with building it when I was last there. Staying in Congress Park again in November, though! YAY! I love being able to walk to DTD.

^^Yeah, but it's not as nice a walk as like, Beach Club to Epcot or Contemperary to MK, you know? It's not scenic or anything. I wish that they'd add some more trees and things to block the road.

We stayed in The Springs. I really liked that we were close to the pool and the lobby. And we could see Downtown Disney from our room, which was really cool.
