Following Kevin's review on the DISUnplugged I've just treated myself to The Complete Walt Disney World by Julie and Mike Neal.
Thought I'd give this a headsup as another great resource for trip planning and lots of lovely details about WDW :goodvibes

What are the highlights Reid??? How does it compare with some of the other planning books such as the Brits Guide and the Unnoficial Guide?? :)

I've not had the pleasure yet of UG so can't compare that one.
I would still buy the Brits Guide as a think the style is great and definitely a great resource for trip planning. The Complete WDW has more of a reference feel to it. It has more detail IMHO. Eg there are 4 pages about Muppetvision 3D. The photographs are probably the biggest strength of this book.
Of course as a WDW virgin it could be factually rubbish, and I'd be none the wiser ;)
Amazon.com has a better review than the .co.uk site. You can view pages here (http://www.amazon.com/gp/sitbv3/reader/104-6232564-0454314?asin=0970959648&pageID=S01E&checkSum=RdV5IggeXhF2x7hkzeM8syORy4393DXzn0R3SI2ka 7Q=).

The book has arrived and a quick glance through has left me very pleased - lots of little snippets, good pictures and info that you don't find in other guide books.

I bought this book from the publisher on ebay and I love it! I loved the amount of detail about the attractions and felt it had good information. Oddly, I learnt alot from this book and as I haven't yet been to disney, it wasn't great for planning, but let me know whats worth seeing. I also have borrowed the Brits guide from the library and found the copy I had wasn't as colourful and although it had lots of information, a lot of it was useless to us since I had read it in the complete guide

My copy arrived yesterday and after a detailed scan from cover to cover I'm very impressed :)
It's a great guide book to WDW. The photographs are very good and not the usual WDW publicity shots you get in other guide books.
All the parks, rides, atttractions and resorts are all covered in details with uesful fun facts and things to look out for.
There are also nice sections on the history of WDW.
Together with the hidden Mickey's section and a useful WDW phone directory this book is a must have for your WDW guide book collection :)
