Having only ever done Arabian Knights (great show by the way), I was thinking of taking in a show this time round.

What would you advise off your past experiences?

Do you think we would get a group discount for a party of nine?

Thanks in advance.

I've only been to Sleuths and Medieval times. We'll definately be going to Sleuths again this year but will give Medieval Times a miss !! Sleuths was one of the best nights out we had in Orlando whereas Medievel Times was fun but it's a case of 'been there done that'. We've also booked to go to Pirates this time as well.

Medieval Times was pretty rubbish !
We also did Pirates as a sort of combined Hen/Stag meal the night before our wedding. We made the fatal mistake of wearing wedding ears and I was picked to be in the show more than actually watch it.
I had no idea what the show was about and thought it was generally pretty rubbish.

I cant see us doing a dinner show again with the exception of Dolly Partons which is purely based on reviews!

We are not interested in pirates/medieval type shows, had enough of them in Spain years ago. Don't like horses so we are limited for shows.
Did Hoop Dee Doo review last year that was very good.

we hated the Hoop Dee Doo Review, but i think we're the only people on the planet who didn't like it.
I hate being rush to 'chow down' as quickly as possible. And the food was served during the show - so you can't enjoy either.
Really terrible and definitely not worth the money.

On the other hand, we enjoyed the mystery theatre at the Grosvenor Hotel (one of the hotels inside WDW, in that row of hotels).
The food was reasonably good (buffet, including prime rib), and you had plenty of time to eat before the acting began in earnest (though the actors were there in character all the time).
It was entertaining and fun, with decent food and good service.

I am sure there are others feel the same.
I am exactly the same with Cirque, to me its a glorified overpriced circus but 99% of people love it, incl DS & DW.
All these experiences need to be tried and make up your own mind. I would say Hoop is probably more enjoyable going as a group with friends. We did it with friends that work for Disney and they had a cake brought out for DS so that added to the enjoyment.

The first year we went we saw the Priates and Medieval times. Enjoyed both, thought Medieval times was better of the two.

This year we went to Arabian Nights. We got the VIP expereince which was very rushed. There were 3 different horses to look at before the show (one you could get your photo taken on) and then pop back into the stables. Because there we so many people we didn't see all of it. It was okay, wouldn't go back. However it has a great gift shop.

The food at all of these has been okay, sometimes rather luke warm. However we didn't go for the food but for the fun.

It's amazing how people's tastes differ.

For me Medieval Times is #1 and I see it every time I hit Orlando (for some reason I can just let go and have a laugh watching that show *starts shouting for the Black and White Knight*) Pirates and Dixie stampede are fun, but I couldn't stand Arabian Nights.

Hey, go figure! :confused3

Never done Hoop-de-doo, but I'm a veggie and I don't think family style chicken will work for me. :)

you can order vegetarian food - i did....the food wasn't what bothered me about it....it was the rush....i felt like we were being stampeded through it...
i'm more of a take it easy, eat slowly, enjoy the atmosphere sort of person...
hoop dee doo is like torture for me..

i've always wanted to try dolly....maybe next time...

Enjoyed Hoop Dee Doo and also the Christmas version of Dolly's. Also really enjoyed the Disney's Spirit of Aloha Show at the Poly Resort which we did las New Year's Eve - great show (the fire dancer was tremondous) and excellent food.

Dollys is by far the best. We have done them all and would only go back to Dollys and Sleuths.
