For thoie of you who have done the college program or are going too how did your school handle credit? Did you still have to pay tution while you did the program? or did your school accept the credit hours for free? Thanks. princess:

For my first 2 CPs I received credit from my school. Also, I did have to pay tuition, since I had to stay a FT student while I was gone.

My first CP I had to take one of the Disney classes. I took the Hospitality Management class (which was kind of interesting). And I got 11 credits. However, my 2nd CP I didn't take any classes and got 8 credits.

I don't know where you go to school, but I would make sure to talk to an advisor SPECIFICALLY about this issue. I had everything planned to do the Spring 07 CP, I had told them in all my previous advising sessions (at least 3 over the course of the 2 years before) to plan it into my school terms so that I could schedule it and still graduate on time and received no feedback except "oh, how cool!" Then, last fall I applied for the CP, had my interview, was accepted, got my packet and was about to pick my move in date and book my flight when I realized I still didn't know how to register at my school for the internship. I went to see my advisor (the same one for 3 years!) and he said "Oh yea well we don't actually offer any credit for the Disney CP at all. You can go if you want, but you won't be enrolled, so you'll basically be dropping out of college for a semester and have to reapply to get back in, etc." :confused3 This information would have been helpful a YEAR AGO! So I didn't end up going, but I'm shooting for Spring 08 CP because now I graduate in December.

Anyway, sorry to rant on your thread, but I don't want the same thing to happen to anyone else. Talk to your advisor directly!!
