Article from the Telegraph in case any of you missed it.

CAA figures show that the number of passengers flying from Heathrow to Orlando dropped by 36 per cent between 2006 and 2005. Virgin Atlantic is to cancel 25 flights from Gatwick and Manchester to Orlando in September.

Have I missed it or have VA announced anything themselves.

Looks likes BA's decision to go to only go to 1 flight a day a while ago may have been a wise decision. I remember at the time it was met with widespread condemnation but I suppose you just can't ignore market forces.

Looks like planning for futures trips will now have to be even more rigorous and meticulous.

VA announced months ago about the cancellation of certain flights in September. I guess September is a quiet month due to the schools having just gone back and the higher chances of a hurricane.

We are flying with Virgin in Sept and we found out a few months ago that the flight we were due to go on would be cancelled. We were supposed to be flying at 10.45am but we are now on the VS015 flying at 12.45pm.

I read on v-flyer I think that all the gtwick fleet are coming up for a major service and they have chosen sep to get a lot of it done as that is a low load on some flights.

There is also a heathrow plane being used at gatwick for a few months while this is done.
