I thought the rotation was selected randomly.
In another post, someone said that because they are in a cat 3 they get to chose their rotation.
Anybody know for certain?

Suite categories do have a different set of rules. Did they mean they could have concierge book their Palos ressies or pick their rotation.
I know you can "request" a certain dining rotation but not be guaranteed it. Suites may be different.

It has been over a year since I had Cat 3, but we didn't get to pick our rotation then. Michelle may know if this has changed.

We just stayed in a Cat 3 on the 1/19 cruise. We did not get to choose our rotation but our seating (first or second) was guarenteed to which we chose.

When you call ahead to book Palo's, (shore excursions now as well I believe) you are also free to select your dining rotation.

Are we talking Palo for dinner or Palo's brunch? We could not prebook brunch as of 1/19.

How do you call and reserve Palo? Do you mean calling while onboard?
Thanks,

The restaurant rotation seems to be based on the makeup of your party:
<nl><li>Have a lot of little ones...count on Animator’s, Parrot Cay then Lumiere’s.
<li>Have say 7-10 year olds...count on Parrot Cay, Lumiere’s and then Animator’s
<li>Have older teens, senior citizens, honeymooners, or just adults...count on Lumiere’s, Animator’s and then Parrot Cay.</nl>
Of course this isn't guaranteed. They still need to move groups around to fill the dining room evenly. (Information provided by Divaofdeep)

We changed our rotation last year on the Magic in order to have a server that we requested. We went from LAPLAPL TO PLAPLAP. They did this at 2:00 in Studio Sea on deck 4. Don't know if they still will change or not.

we were in a cat 1 on the thanksgiving wonder cruise. we asked the concierge to switch our rotation and was told it was impossible. so, i would not count on getting rotations changed. i thought being cat 1 would ensure our request was honored, but even being in a suite doesn't guarantee anything!

i put this in another post. i spoke with my dcl reservationist (who has been there from day 1) and she said you can NOT choose your rotation. you can REQUEST a particular rotation, but there is no guarantee it will be honored. she also said that the rotations as described above by dave from marietta is accurate.
