Return Rental Car near Cruise Terminal?

We will need to rent a car at the Orlando Airport for a week stay at WDW before our cruise. Can someone please recommend a car company that has an office close to the airport and the cruise terminal? How do you get to the terminal from the rental office?

We have had good luck with Avis. You can get a car at the airport or at the Mariott near Downtown Disney and then drop off the car at the Radisson at Port Canaveral. Avis has a shuttle to take you to the port. It works best if you drop off your luggage first, then return the car and use the shuttle to get back to the ship.

Avis also has a rental location at the airport...and it's one of the ones that is on airport property, no shuttle required. :)

I found a AWD code for Avis that saved me quite a bit of money. It is a group code but it seems no one was asked to prove they were part of a group to use it. I don't want to post the code here but it is listed on the mousesavers website under rental cars. I just took the code and added it in the AWD box on the internet reservation system for Avis.

Hadn't heard this tip before, but, since we're using Avis -
Is this simpler because you don't have to lug your checked luggage on the shuttle from Avis, or is there some additional benefit of doing it in this order?
