What can I use for shaker box "window"?

I made one before, but I had a CM photo sleeve, and I cut it and used that for the clear part. I thought I had more, but I can't find them. What else can I use? I don't want to buy a whole pack of those for one little embellishment unless I have to.

I use the clear plastic backing sheets from Jolees or Disney embellies, or you can cut up a page protector.

I use the bent page protectors.. I keep it in one special area of my scrapmess (I mean room) and I use it til it's gone.. than I will inevitably find another bent page protector... I do use the plastic from the jolee's too...but I get to cleaning and end up throwing them away and kicking myself letter for that...

I keep my plastic backers in an envelope.

I'll have to do that... I just get so mad when I throw them away and they can be "recycled"...

I haven't made one before, but I've read where people have used the clear packaging off of the outside of the Cricut cartridges or the clear plastic that comes on the mats.

What kind of adhesive do you use with the sturdier plastic? I never even thought about using some of these and page protectors are pretty flimsy although I do have a good supply of bent ones.

I use scotch tacky adhesive. It is a lot like Aleenes tacky glue.

i took a class once to learn to make shakers and they used a cut up ziploc baggie. it worked. but i like sheet protectors best.
