How did the dining plan totals at the bottom of the receipt show up? Last year they just said Counter service and the # you had left for your party, and then table service and the # you have left for your party. Do they have 4 sections now? table service adult, table service children, counter service adult, counter service children or is it still just the 2 it was before and you're expected to keep track of which adult and which child credits you used. We won't all always be dining together and i'm wondering if I should bring a little pad to keep track or if it will break it down on my receipts for me.

If you go to a CS restaurant, you get a receipt showing how many CS credits are left. They are not seperated out for adult and child.
At TS restaurants, you get two receipts. On shows how many adult TS is left and the other shows how many child TS credits are left.

I would not actually go to the extreme of accounting for each credit yourself.

We won't all always be dining together and i'm wondering if I should bring a little pad to keep track or if it will break it down on my receipts for me.I would keep track if you are spliting your party up -- for two reasons. The first reason is obviously you'll need to watch the credits more if you are scattered around, because it is possible that another member of your family could be overcharged credits and not notice it.
The other reason is that, if there is some DDP credit issue, the default is to bill the meal to your room. In that case, you would get undercharged in DDP credits, but billed at the full menu prices. If you have an issue like that, it's a lot better to catch it early, rather than trying to resolve it at checkout when you are scrambling to catch a flight home.

We just got back Tuesday.
TS are separated. CS and snacks are not. There is also some inconsistency in desserts for kids at CS places, so be prepared to have CMs at one CS place telling you something which contradicts what those at another have said.

We went to Disney in April for Easter. My son was only 9 at the time so technically all his meals should've been from the kids menu. However at every counter service restaurant we ate at- they let him pick whatever he wanted (either adult or kids meal) from the menu. He didn't have to have a kids meal. Not sure if it's this way at all the CS restuarants but we ate at Cosmic Rays multiple times and never had a problem
