yes.

the screen for DME should come up when you are finished. if not - come back here and I will post the DME toll free phone number.

thanks spiceycat.....you rule!!! your link in my post about help finding a resort when CRO said they were booked solid helped too!

i was able to follow the links you provided and find them a room at POR for the entire length of their desired say for 104/night. and yes, while booking it, i did notice that they get the free Magical Express service as well.

(funny - i called CRO and asked about the "if i book an onsite room thru an outside broker - expedia, orbitz....., can i still use magical express?" and they said no. obviously got a CM who had the wrong info.

Again, can't thank you enough. you rule!:worship: :worship:

you are sweet.

Done an II exchange to a dvc resort and I have gotten DME.

so the only thing you must do is stay in a WDW resort.

This is a great question because I booked 2 nites at Pop thru AAA and when DH called DME, they said AAA had to make the reservation! When DH called AAA, they said I should have reserved DME on-line when I booked Pop. :confused3 There was no apparent way to do that. I booked our return through our DVC member site since we are moving to VWL after 2 nites at Pop.

boy, I never heard of DME refusing to help.

sorry that it happened to you - but you did find a way around it.

I would call DME and make sure it went through.

I had the same exact problem. There was no place on AAA online to sign up for the ME, so I called AAA and they told me disney handled it and gave me a wrong number to call. So I called a correct disney number and the guy (who was nice) told me that because it's a AAA reservation it's locked to him, he can't touch it.

He did tell me that if I ever want to book just an AAA room again (because that's all I did this time, just the room) that I could do that through Disney and then I wouldn't have this problem.

So I went to my AAA place on Saturday and the TA got the same runaround I did. The whole reason I did it online was to save time and it ended up costing me and the TA a lot more time. She was sent back and forth between AAA and Disney too, finally she got a supervisor at ME to help.

No more AAA online booking for me.

I should have used Expedia, it's less hassle.

www.disneysmagicalexpress.com

Just fill out the fields. I use this all the time for Disney reservations that are secured outside of the Walt Disney Travel Co. (consolidator, wholesaler, etc.) for my clients.
If the reservation is booked thru Walt Disney Travel Co. the only way it can be reserved is thru Disney. Disney and AAA have a "preferred" relationship, and I'm quite surprised it was such a hassle to get it taken care of.
We have a special travel agents only number and if I don't add it at the time of booking, it just takes 1 quick phone call to add it.

The above site should work for any reservation not made thru Walt Disney Travel co.
