We call ourselves the "Meatloaf" because we are all "leftovers" from the other groups that somehow found eachother and became good friends. :goodvibes
But we are in the middle, popularity wise. My school is so small (under 1,000 students, grades 7-12) so there aren't really any groups. Everyone just gets along with everyone. Of course you have the jerks that make fun of the "band geeks" or whatever, but for the most part, there aren't cliques. The "losers" can easily go up to "Mr. Popular" and talk to him. It's kind of nice!
This is for my grade atleast. I don't know about the younger grades and how they work.

I'm kind of the music geek, smart type. We're not popular but everyone likes us. I could talk to the popular people and not be like... walked away from. I like my group.

I dunno. I guess me and my friends are maybe the 5th most popular group of girls. We have like a billion different cliques in my school. But most of the time were nice and tolerate each other.

There is tons of groups at my high school. I am popular, but i am also HUDGE into band. I also been called emo before and i have alot of emo friends. I also like to run, and play sports so i fit in the the jocks too. I am very smart too, and i get along with the really smart people. I say I fit just about everywhere in my school.

I really struggle to tell. I know I'm somewhere in the middle, closer to the top, but I still am lacking in the experience to judge. Last year was my first at my current school, so my knowledge of our social hierarchy isn't very vast.

I don't have one particular group, persay. I can hang out with pretty much anyone. I know a lot of people. I have some really close friends, but a lot of acquaintances too. I can almost walk into any room in the building and find someone I know and can talk to.
btw, my school is about 2K people.

Well Popular at my school is probally not what it is at your school. The Popular guys are into sports but arn't all that great at them. They became because they just decided they were going to be. The girls are do nothing but go out with the other popular boys.(they do NO sports or anything). Personally I don't want to be popular b/c to become a popular girl you pretty much have to lose your virginity.
I am in the Cheerleader group. We get along with everyone Except for the pom girls cause they think they are better than us but they can't do anything. We all hang out within our groups with eachother. I get along with EVERYBODY except for what I said above.

It's hard to define where I fit. I'm kinda well known around the school and I have only lived here for a year now and it's not for bad reasons probably because I hang out and talk to so many people. I fit or hangout with these categories. Metal heads, semi-popular, nerds, techies (theatre), Soccer Kids/Brits, Kinda Smart People.

But I wouldn't consider myself in the "nerdy" group.
I just had a small group of quiet and smart friends.

It pretty much is. Besides they didn't start sleeping with each other in 8th grade it was the summer between 6th and 7th! I couldn't believe it and didn't know how it was exactly done! I just thought that they were sleeping together but not doing well, you know doing stuff while sleeping together!

i know a sophomore guy who had sex with a girl three years younger than him. (this was when he was in 8th grade, she was in 6th)
When I was in 6th grade, my friends and I still got excited over holding hands.

That is how it was in 6th grade but that summer everything changed. Since I do not want to have sex yet (let alone know what to do!) I will not be in the popular group for awhile.

I don't know where I fit in.
I guess I'm kinda a little of everything.
I've got friends who are "popular", friends in band, friends who are "nerds", friends who are cheerleaders, ect.
No one ever really classifies me as anything, because I pretty much get along with everyone. Except one time one of my best friends called me a poser...

In high school, I was pretty much a guardie. I was on colorguard, so basically all my friends were either on guard or in band. But I was also involved in the theatre department, so I also considered myself a theatre geek. I was in no way popular, but that didn't bother me. I had my friends. And I still have them, after a year being apart at different colleges, we still hang out and talk like nothing has changed.
In college, there still are cliques and stuff, but it's no where near as bad as high school. I don't really consider myself in any group now, but if forced to, I'd still say band groupie (I didn't do guard, but I still managed to make friends with mostly band people) and theatre geek. :) But I'm also in with the History geeks and Civil War nerds (I go to Gettysburg College... there is an overabundance of Civil War fanatics haha).

Me and my friends aren't really a group.
Most of my friends go to other schools.
But we aren't nerds.
Just Harry Potter reading/anime loving/writing addicted girls.
I have been labeled "punk" and "emo" but I go to a school in the middle of effin nowhere so I would be the only one called that.
I guess I'm a group of my own.
Lol.

i'm friends with pretty much everyone. i'm in band so of course the band nerds. a lot of my friends are also in orchestra. i'm also friends with a lot of the kids in theatre. so i guess it just depends. this past year i went to a school with about 1,300 people (it was just a freshman center). but this coming year, i'm going to be going to a school with around 3,000 at least (10th-12th) so things might change.

The difference at my school compared to others is the size. Try having 2,500 kids in your grade alone. Ranging from super rich-super poor. It just all falls different.

I don't know what you could call my group of friends. We are definitely not popular, but we're not what I would call nerdy. In fact, half of my friends have mostly Fs.
I can talk and get along with the popular people, but I don't know if I could actually be friends with them. This is usually how one of their conversations go: "Hey, were you at that party last weekend?", "Oh ya, I was so wasted." :sad2:
And I know that a lot of them can be real b****es. But some of them are nice.

Well it isn't my whole grade, just those 15 popular kids. They arn't even really popular. I mean (no offense to anybody) money and riches wise they arn't the richest kids at school! The cheerleaders are. I don't know why these kids were dubbed the popular group other than the reason they had slept together in ways the rest of us hadn't. I had my first real kiss was in 6th grade but I mean really then (for us) it was a major accomplishment to hold hands but me and my boyfriend showed everbody up at an I-max movie and we kissed. I haven't kissed anyone since then.

Why should the richest kids at school be "dubbed the most popular" over everyone else?
Anyways...
I'm pretty much a huge drifter.
My school does have cliques, I won't deny it, but I'm either not in ANY of them, or in ALL of them.
I SERIOUSLY hang out with everyone.
The drama nerds, "punks"/skaters, the "popular"/preppy kids.
Mostly all of them.
Ugh, I really REALLY hate labelling people like that, but it's the only wya I can get my point across.
I think that's why I won prom queen. It's not because I'm the prettiest girl in school, or the richest, or the smartest, or the most involved. I think it was probably just because I am nice to everyone and I hang out with alot of different people.

My friends and I don't really have a group! And I like it that way. We're liked by a lot by people, not hated by anyone, but we're left alone. No one dwells on us. Mostly because there is no drama created by us, so there's no need to focus directly on my friends and I at all times.
The "popular" people in my grade are not popular for any good reason. They're trashy, fool around too much with guys, and draw too much attention to themselves. It's people like that who don't deserve to be popular. Nice people should be popular. Labels are terrible!
When I used to hang out with my old friends, I was in a completely different situation. They're the "perfect untouchable" ones in my grade. They get the best grades and all the awards in the school, they're pretty and skinny, rich, and everyone thought they were the coolest things ever. I honestly felt so out of place with them, that's why I started hanging out with my new friends. I don't feel labeled, and I don't feel like I constantly have to try to get into Harvard while flirting with the hottest guys, like my old friends do. I'm just me.
