Has anyone seen the Patriot with Mel Gibson and Jason Issacs? My parents have seen it and said that it was very gruesome. However my friend saw it and said that it wasn't really that bad. Now my friend is sort of squeamish so I figured that it probably isn't that bad at all.

What is your opinion?? Gory/gruesome? Or not?

Love it.
I didn't think it was too bad.
Some parts made me kinda "ahh". With the stabbing and stuff. Other than that it was ok.
Jason is great. :]

I love that movie!
The gore didn't bother me.
I actually liked the gore because it shows just how bad war really is.

I don't mind gore either, I just didn't want to sit through a movie with gore at every scene! I don't mind war movies that much for the same reasoning that you gave. I really like Schindler's List. Have you seen that one?

It is very dark. How old are you? sorry if this is too personal of a question. The movie is probably not great for younger/immature audiences. I would look it up and talk to parents before renting it. But I really enjoyed it. Although I do hestitate to use the word 'enjoy'. The movie leaves you feeling hatred towards the human race. But again, it is a very touching, moving and emotional movie.

Jason Issacs was in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. While he didn't have a huge part, he was still brilliant!!

I love The Patriot. but seeing as I am an American History buff (Revolutionary War imparticular), that's not a surprise.

It is a bit gorey at times, but it's not that bad.

I love The Patriot.
I haven't seen it in ages, but no, it's not bad gory.
I've never actually seen a movie that has made me turn my head away.
Stuff, like medical shows, make me squirm.

I love The Patriot. I am squeamish but I didn't think that it was so bad. Plus, Heath Ledger is in there and that just makes it a lot better. I have seen every year since 8th grade( I'll be a Senior) and I still love it.

hmm, well I don't really like Heath Ledger that much, but seeing Jason Issacs will help for me! :)
