Best way to get from WDW to Universal????

We are going to WDW in September and staying at Port Orleans Riverside. We are not going to rent a car and are planing on using Disney transportion the whole time we are there. My brother wants to go to Universal for a day, so what is the best way to get there? He will be traveling with a four year old and a nine month old. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

With kids in tow, and no vehicle, I suggest just taking a taxi.

This may be outdated, but Mears used to offer towncars from the WDW resorts to Universal. You should be able to find their website by searching online.

I have been looking into this and I know Mears offers shuttle service .... We are staying at the Dolphin and the desk is on site, but the website should help you.

We just spent 9 days in Disney (just got back last night) and we also went to Universal one day. We used the Mears bus service and it was $16 per person round trip. If you call them up they should be able to set you up. They will email a confirmation to you and all you have to do is print that out and give it to the driver when he picks you up. He will then give you a "return voucher" to use when you want to leave the park and go back to WDW. (when you want to be pick up at the hotel, you have to call about 24hrs ahead of time and they'll tell you what time and place to be picked up then you do have to call them about 2 hrs before you want to be picked up at Universal and they will then give you a time to be at the bus stop) that's what we did.

I'm in the same predictament. I called Universal and they gave me the number of a local cab service that they use (407) 422-2222. I called to see how much it would be for 4 people to go from Disney's POP to Universal RPH and they quoted me an appx price of $35 - $40.

Sounds like a better solution if you have 3 or more people...thanks, I'll need a trip back from MNSSHP to HRH !
