On August 13th, my family, my cousin, and I are going to the Mall of America. We are staying at the Grand Lodge/Water Park of America. If you have ever been to any of those 3, please post any tips or comments you have about them. Ie, what were you favorite restaurants/stores/attractions, what time of day is the most crowed?

Thanks alot. :)
-Angela

(PS- We come home on August 18th.)

i've been to the moa like over a trillion times, since i live right by it...

as for advice?? um, wear comfortable shoes, its a big mall. if u go to the park at moa [with rides, i dont know if u know about it or not] and you plan on being there for awhile id say get the unlimited ride wristband... it saves you a lot of money.

my favorite, beyond favorite restaurant is Touchi Banooch [i have no clue how to spell it, but its pronounced too-chee bah-nooch] it's mainly italian. Another one for like hambergers/hotdogs is called The Twin Cities Grill. Amazing food there. I liked it.

the time of the day thats most crowded? it would really depend which day[s] your there. it's almost always busy.. but the level of busyness depends. If its early like when they first open hardly anyones there, but if its towards more like 6 or so in the afternoon then it's pretty busy. Weekdays [mon-thurs] are probably the least busiest because everyones at work.

Have fun!
also; if you wanna know anything else, just pm me.

Mall of America, haha. I always think it's so funny to hear people are actually excited to go there, because i go there like once a week (I live like 10 minutes away)... but i guess people think it's funny that people get excited to go to Disney that live 10 minutes away too!!! ;)

ANNNYYYWAY....

Busy level: Mon-Thurs between open and 3ish there is hardly anyone there. once it hits 3 people start getting off of work and the mall becomes more crowded. weekends can be pretty crazy... especially at places like build a bear workshop where people often go for bday parties. It also depends if anyone famous is scheduled to be there. Brooke/Hulk Hogan were there over the holidays and i guess there were a TON of people there.

Attractions:

- Park at the Mall: UNLIMITED RIDE WRISTBAND FORSURE!!!!!! it's under 20 bucks and you can ride the rides ALLLL day. Other wise each ride is on avg, 3-4 bucks, so if you plan on doing more than 4-5 rides, it pays for itself.

cool rides that are there.... timberland twister is my favorite. THink of it as mad mouse roller coaster that spins.... also ive heard mighty axe is cool... and pepsi ripsaw rollercoaster. They have a ride thats called mystery mine ride.... it's ok. you sit in a chair that moves around with a movie playing on a big screen, think of it as soarin.... but way not as good and in stead of hangliding, you are sitting in a chair that jerks you around. lol.....

Underwater world is ok. if it's your first time there, you will probably like it. I've been there about 5 times so it's lost it's cool and new factor for me.

lego land is almost a must see if it's your 1st time there.... if anything you might get some cute pics... it's located on the 1st floor along side of the park at the mall...

restaurants... tuci buniici (spelled sooooooooo wrong) is AMAZING.... *The other girl that posted that is actually my sister..... *rainforest cafe is good..... they have a planet hollywood which you can always count on... 2 food courts... both are awesome.

They also just opened up a new 18 hole put put golf course up on the 3rd floor by one of the food courts. It's called 'Moose Mountain'. I went on opening day and it's fun. It's 8.95 or 9.95 a person, or they have a family of 4 deal for like 24 bucks?????!!!???

The MOA is big. If you walk around each floor once, it's a mile. so the comfy shoes is a must. If you dont have any, they have about 3 places in the MOA that sell crocs... :rotfl:

you probably already have, but check out their website.... www.mallofamerica.com and you should be able to see all the restaurants, rides, attractions, celebrities that are scheduled to be there (if any) and prices for stuff like underwater world, etc.

Have fun!!!!
