I don't know the rules but searched and can't seem to find anything yet. It is ok to start with a person design and then cut parts out? Change it? Add names?

What is the right way to do this? Should I PM or just post?

I am sorry but I am new and I see some artwork here that I would like to use but don't want to take without asking first.

Thanks, April

April,
I am not sure what others do, but I find all of my art online, either from a google search or disney clipart sites. (There are some mentioned in a sticky at the top of the board). I try not to use clipart or graphics that someone else has used unless I ask them first. Kind of a respect thing of not duplicating someone else's design. I do not think there is any "rule" to that nature but my own personal morals. You can find lots and lots of art online, just try different keywords. Designers - if you have any other ideas please add them - I don't want to speak for anyone else.

Glad to have you on the boards - can't wait to see your designs!

Amy,

Thanks for the reply. I am of the same thought that I should PM first and ask. It is just wrong to take without asking. Just old school manners. I did see the link and am making a folder full of clipart now.

I am still trying to find the time to work in Photoshop as I have a 4 yr old, the DH and small 43 acres ranch with horses.

I think midnite might be the only time I will have undisturbed.
