I went to Disney the first year of free dining in 2005, the weather was extremely hot, but the crowds were great and there were hardly any waits. What do you guys think it will be like this year during free dining? When I read certain threads, I am thinking about going later in October instead as it seems it will be busy...other times I think maybe it won't be too bad. What was free dining 2006 like. All the resorts have sold out of their free dining rooms, but I don't know how many of each they had set aside. So, what to you think, will it be too busy or not?

I went down the middle of September last year for the first time in years. The heat wasn't too extreme but it was very humid so sunscreen is a definate priority. Frequent trips to Club Cool at EPCOT & many Frozen Lemonades(yummy!!) with several indoor attractions with a/c made it a whole lot better. The crowds, well let's put it this way. The longest lines we waited in were 45 minutes for Soarin' & close to an hour for the bus back to ASM from MK. Line waits otherwise were nearly non-existant & the lines for food weren't bad either. No need for & even for the MNSSHP you could pretty much walk on everything there(had POTC all to ourselves at one point) Not sure how this year will be but probably a whole lot of the same. I'm guessing there will be more people jumping on the free dining bandwagon, so it might be a little more crowded but it's a great time of year to go down & you will enjoy yourself. Hope I answered your question, have a magical day!

Sounds pretty much the same as 2005. Here's to hoping for short lines for attractions!
