When my wife and I were on our honeymoon in July 04, we saw Wayne Brady in one of the clubs on Pleasure Island (he seemed to be just hanging out with a small entourage). My wife was really excited, and he was really nice and talked with us for a few minutes and got a picture with us.

My celeb spottings were Eric Estrada (aka Ponch from CHiPs...love 80s TV!). He was doing a book signing in MGM and was very nice. I also saw Cal Ripken (from the Baltimore Orioles) who was also very friendly and took a picture with our friend who was a die hard fan.

Last August when my family and I were staying at the Atrium Club at the Contemporary, Don Shula the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins was staying there at the same time we were. However we never saw him on the floor, expect for one time at night when my Dad and him were both in the elevator at the same time.

We saw Aaron Carter a few years back. He was outside Rock'nRollercoaster and we were there waiting for our fast pass time. He was standing there waiting and then a CM came and got him and his group and they got to walk on and ride as many times as they wanted. Made some people around us pretty darn mad!

My DH & I saw Michael Jackson & Macauly Culken (actually we didn't know who he was at the time) on our honeymoon in June 1991. We were in one of the shops on MainStreet and all of a sudden Disney suits came out of the back of the shop and locked all of the doors. Then out walked Michael Jackson and "some little blonde boy" as DH & I described him. We actually thought that he was a Make a Wish kid or something like that :lmao: ! Anyway they shopped around in the store for a little while...at first we could take pictures but then later security would step in the way. Then Michael walked over to the French doors that adjoined to the next store and he had security open it and he kissed a couple of ladies that were standing there. I have a couple of pics but my scanner is broken...I will try to take a picture of a picture tomorrow and if it works I will post it.

Hi

My wife and I saw Donny Osmond at the CR in the lobby. He walked past us and spoke. He was very nice and of course, smiled. He was carrying his own luggage and he got into a plain mini van full of kids.

In 2005 at the Magic Kingdom in Liberty Square we saw NFL player Kurt Warner. He was with his family being "a regular dad" so we did not appraoch him.

This was during ESPN, the weekend, so we were also "on the lookout" for celebrities.

Tom Hanks - very, very, very far away - at MGM, when they were filming "From Earth to the Moon" there. I don't believe he was "on the clock" though, as he was walking toward Star Tours. XD

When we were there on our honeymoon in 1994 we saw the Backstreet Boys. They were on the street on Pleasure Island during the day and everyone walked right past them. Couldn't even get a toddler to stop and dance! HAhahaha! Makes me laugh when I think about how big they got after that.

When I was there last month, I saw Uma Thurman!

I was waiting in line at the Jungle Cruise with some friends, and when we were walking down the final row of the queue before boarding, a saw a boat go by full of people. It was mostly children and only a few adults. I turned to one of my friends (who happens to be a big movie buff) and said, "Hey! Doesn't that lady in that boat look like Uma Thurman?" He said he didn't know, and we both shrugged and waited to get on the next boat.

Well, I didn't think about it at all until about a week ago, when I was leafing through a magazine that was lying in my house. It was either People or Star, but in the first section they show pictures of celebrities at various places and events.

Well, I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw a picture of Uma Thurman with Minnie. In the caption, it mentioned that she was visiting the MK the same day I was there, and she was wearing the same outfit as the lady I saw in the Jungle Cruise boat. I was flabbergasted! I couldn't believe I had finally seen a celebrity at Disney World!

That's the only celebrity I've seen so far in the World. I hope I'll see many more in the future!

I was at WDW over Easter this year, and my son reminded me that Nascar drivers usually go to WDW, since this is a rare weekend off from racing.

I saw Bobby Labonte and his family at the Polynesian. His son actually threw his little race car at the mono-rail track, while we were waiting for the mono-rail. A CM, handed me the car and told his little boy, that he shouldn't throw his car towards the rail, since it can fall down the hole and he won't get it back. His son just giggled after the CM left. I didn't recognize Bobby, till I saw his wife. He also had a daughter about 12 and his son was about 5. I was so nervous, after I figured out who he was. I wanted to pull out my camera, or something to get his autograph, but I didn't. I just handed him the little race car and his wife said she was really sorry. When the parents backed up to where they were standing, the little guy asked me what color the next mono-rail was going to be, could he drive it, could he sit anywhere, it was like the flood gates opened with him talking.
When the mono-rail came, they walked to the front to see if they could ride in the front. When we got to the MK, the little guy ran up to me and started following me. He wanted to know if I was going to the MK. I told him, I was catching the bus to somewhere else and his parents were following him. I pointed to the entrance and they just laughed and grabbed their little guy, turned toward the entrance and went in. (This is when my husband finally took a look at Bobby LaBonte) and wondered why I didn't ask him for an autograph.

I've never seen a celeb in WDW, but I have a few times at DL. I stood in line for California Screamin' right behind John Stamos and Rebecca Romijn. I saw him another time about a year later running between the parks.

I was lucky enough to win tickets to the launch of Disneyland's 50th, and as I came out of one of the stores on Main Street, I almost ran right into Terri Hatcher and James Denton walking together. Maybe that doesn't count for this thread because there was a celeb event later that night, but it was pretty exciting for me! That day we also saw Michael Eisner, Matt Ouimet, The Cheetah Girls, and several others that I don't remember right now.

Try not to get excited, okay? I know this will blow you away.

Back in the Eighties, I saw the lead singer from Simply Red getting VIP'ed around the rides. Yup. Try to contain your excitement. The one with the curly red hair. That one.

LoL. Makes me laugh to think about now.

A couple years ago I was getting something to eat for me and my brother at frontierland and he got a table for us. When I went to find him I saw him talking to Koby Bryant. I asked him what they were talking about he said that Koby and two other guys were eating at the table next to him and they got up to leave they stopped and talked to my brother. I asked my brother why he stopped to talk to him he said he didn't say nothing to him or even really pay much attention to him and Koby just stopped by and asked how his day was going and if he was enjoying himself.

Not a big celebrity, but a few years back, when my wife (fiancee then) were at MK, we saw Gheorghe Muresan (sp?). He's a former basketball player (from Romania) and was in the movie My Giant with Billy Crystal.

It was funny, because the guy is absolutely enormous (height wise). I think he's like 7'7", or something like that. Anyway, if you looked at the crowd in front of us, it was a mass sea of heads, and then this guy whose entire torso was above it all.

The funniest, though, was his poor kid. He put his kid on his shoulders as he was walking around... I kept thinking of how terrified that kid must be, seeing as he's so far up there.

Just a couple weeks ago, while at Epcot during the 4th of July holiday week, I saw Joan Rivers walking through Future World with, what I assumed to be, her granddaughters.

Over the years, I've also seen Grant Hill, Regis Philbin, Kevin Garnett, and the King of Pop, Michael Jackson.

Last year when we were there we saw Toby Keith walking down Main Street at MK! I thought it was him but wasn't sure and we had already held our spot for 2 hours for the upcoming parade. Then in April, while we were waiting in line for the princesses autographs, I am sure we were behind someone famous as they kept their hats low and had on wigs. May have just been someone wearing a wig but I'm sure it was a disguise.........:confused3

In December 2005, we saw the Christmas special being taped at Disneyland and saw Fantasia Burrino.
We also saw DickVanDyke, he did the Candlelight Processional.

At LAX we saw George Stults (Kevin Kincade from 7th Heaven). We talked to him, he was very nice. We got our picture taken with him too, very cool.

My friends saw Dr. Luca Kovac from ER at Disneyland too. (real name slips my mind right now)

Kudos, to those who treat celebs like regular folks! Most of the time, celebs are escorted through the parks through backstage areas for their protection. It really is a shame they can't enjoy the onstage magic with their kids without being mobbed.

If you do see one out and about with their family please be kind and keep your distance and let them enjoy their vacation.

I am with you on this one. Unless I was standing in line for a ride for a while right behind them, I probably wouldn't notice them. The ones I might see from a distance, I would assume they just looked like whoever they are (unless of course there are a ton of people crowded around).

Agreed, and it would be hard to recognize many of them without makeup on (yes even the men)!

I've never seen a celeb in all of my trips to WDW but then again, I've never looked. Like a PP said, I'm usually too busy taking in all the wonders of the World! :goodvibes

Our first trip we were at the Hoop Dee Doo with Princess Diana and her sons. William (10 at the time) actually participated in the show.

We saw Brittany Spears and Joey Mcintire (but that was a publicity thing)
our 2nd trip

A few years ago my kids with their significant others met Rob and Amber from Survivor and the Amazing Race (huge to me which is silly, but they were my favorite!) and we have a great picture of my daughter with the two of them.

Our last trip, my DD and I saw George Lucas at Beaches & Cream with his family and she talked to him briefly.

We were just there this past April the week of Easter and when we came out of the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, we saw Brad Garret and his son taking pictures with Monsters Inc. characters. There was a bunch of security with them and everyone was told to stay back, but we were able to take pictures and Brad was waving at everyone and saying "hi" and "Happy Easter."

Funny, someone mentioned Scottie Pippen. Back on June 1st, after waiting quite a while to see the princesses, we see an exit door open right across from us. In walks a CM with a family. I remember wondering why they were coming in the exit and just passed it off that they were probably the Cinderella Suite winners or something. Then my husband, a huge basketball fan, shouts, "That's Scottie Pippen!" We stayed at Disney 8 nights and never once won a dream, but seeing Scottie Pippen was enough for my husband!

Just a couple weeks ago, while at Epcot during the 4th of July holiday week, I saw Joan Rivers walking through Future World with, what I assumed to be, her granddaughters.

We had to have been there at the same time, because we rode on the same Jungle Cruise boat as Joan Rivers and her grandson, and what we assumed was the nanny (it certainly wasn't Melissa!) Being the Michigan hicks that we are, we most definitely took a few paparazzi shots. (We also saw her the next day at Test Track)

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s289/kmbrn/CIMG1006.jpg

Oddly, a few days prior, as we were waiting to ride Dumbo, we looked up and saw this stunningly beautiful woman on the ride with her daughter:

http://i155.photobucket.com/albums/s289/kmbrn/CIMG0789.jpg

(It's Vanessa Williams, in case you can't recognize her)

We have never seen a celebrity, until this trip when we saw 2 within a few days. Oh, and we also saw a female that we recognized as a criminal being arrested on COPS walking around Epcot! Hilarious! DH wanted to follow her. I said, Oh no, the way she was on that show, I just know something bad would happen. She was very, very recognizable, an unforgettable face.

I like to think that I am too cool to care. Infact, we just got back from NYC. We stayed at the Ritz Central Park and that place was loaded with celebs. Rode in the same elevator with Kate Beckinsale and her family twice but who is counting. We even got into a cab that she had had exited but really...........who's counting??;):rolleyes1

At disney we have seen tons of celebs. This past ESPN weekend, David Robinson and Michelle Kwan were at the AKL kilamajaro club. The boys meet many athletes at MGM. No big deal to me really.

A few weeks ago, we ran into CORBIN BLEU (BLUE??) from High School Musical and I lost it!!  He was walking through MGM with his Dad. The kids had their picture taken and I jumped in too!! But I was really only excited for my kids to meet him.:rolleyes1

I was at MK in April 2006 when they were taping the season finale for America's Funniest Videos. They had a stage set up right after the train station when you first come in. We saw Tom Bergeron (sp?) several times on stage warming the crowd up. We did not stay for the taping of the program because it started after the fireworks and we had to drive home the next morning.

We saw Michael Eisner watching 'Wishes' at MK on 1/1/04. I got a picture. During that trip we also saw Kirsten Storms (Xenon on the Disney channel movies, used to be on Days of our Lives, now on General Hospital) shopping at MK. She was holding up a Tshirt and saying "do you have this in a extra small"?

Unfortunatley I have'nt seen anyone famous during my trips but my brother did......he saw Michael Jackson.

My brother was shopping in Main St (not sure which shop) and he noticed a commotion, lots of people huddled around.
He decided to go take a look and it was Michael Jackson buying watches.

He just pointed at the watches he fancied saying "I'll take that one and that one and that one also". The CM wrapped all of his purchases and handed him his packages and he went to leave without paying (he must have minders.assistants who deal with the cash).
The CM had to remind him that he hadn't paid lol.

He caught all of this with his video camera and we watch it now and again.

Joan Rivers was on the view the other day and she said she was there....that is co cool that you took pic's.

I saw Maureen McCormick at MGM. I was on a Disney Cruise with Aaron Carter.

Maureen stayed at a hotel i work at last Christmas (Hyatt hotel in the mpls subs)!!!! I started in Feb. but everyone was telling me about it. They said she was really nice and stopped by the front desk and just talked to some of the girls working. They said her daughter looked just like her and it was weird seeing "marcia" in her sweats. haha. But that she was such a doll!!!!!

i personally havent seen anyone famous in Disney yet, but im going in 3 weeks!! It would be cool, but i wouldnt freak out. Normally I would have, when i was younger, but i realize that it has to be annoying just trying to be on a normal vacation and have people freaking out all the time!

I know, I saw him at a work function (I work in publishing, this was when his book was coming out) and I agree. He is a very charasmatic man.

Posted this before, I saw all the kids from the ABC Friday night line up one time (They were there for a press junket) and was sitting right next to the oldest son from Home Improvement and his family. We were all waiting together and struck up a conversation (before we realized who he was) and he was very nice -- so were his parents.

Also saw Evander Hollyfield back in 1995 -- that was the ONLY time my ex got excited the entire trip. (Did I mention he's my EX LOL)

While on our honeymoon in June 1996 my dh and I went to Pleasure Island. I think we were in the Adventurers Club at a beer tasting show. We were walking in looking for a table when this man stood up and invited us to sit with him and the girl he was with. This guy was hilarious. He heckled the people on stage the entire time, we couldn't stop laughing. The show ended and he thanked us for joining them at the table and then left. I looked at my dh and said "Do you know who that was?" and he said "Yes! That was Drew Carey!"

During our dinner at Ohana's on 7/4/07 we were seated next to Udonis Haslem of the Miami Heat. DFiance didn't notice but I said to him I think I know him from somewhere, he looks like someone I've seen before... and I don't watch basketball at all. We then found out who it was. They were very polite and seemed to be having a great time enjoying dinner with extended family 15+ people at the table before being whisked off to the fireworks at EPCOT by their VIP guides.

In 2003 while staying at the Poly, it was a late night and my DD20 and I were in the pool which was virtually empty other than some older folks. Along one of the paths came A. J. McLean (not sure of how to spell his last name) from The Backstreet Boys. My DD had been a huge fan as a teen and I recognized him immediately from seeing him hanging on her walls. (Not literally :lmao: ) I quietly told her to look and she did -- neither one of us jumped out of the pool or squeeled or anything else, just looked in surprise. He noticed that we noticed and rushed around the pool quickly. A few minutes later, after we had pretty much forgotten it, a guy his age came out ..... wearing the same thing that AJ was wearing just before!!! Perhaps to get us off the scent? I mean, I suppose we were stalker material given the fact that we ..... ummmm ...... didn't even get out of the pool. :rotfl: The "imposter" sat down near us and said, out loud, to anyone ... "I'm here alone and that's okay. Disney World is cool for someone who is alone." And then he left. We burst into laughter and everytime we were near the conceirge building they were in, we would wonder, out loud (not too loud) if that poor boy on his solo trip was doing okay.

Last June we saw Duff from Guns N' Roses with his wife and kids. They seemed like they were having fun -- eating lunch in front of Rosie's All American at MGM. And although I've been a huge GR fan, we did not approach them -- hey, it's my vacation too!!!

So when I am at Disney, I talk to everyone and correct me if I am wrong most people talk to one another on the bus, in line, at restaurants. I am not a super outgoing person I just think that Disney brings out the happy in everyone. So we were at Animal Kingdom in the gift shop and I was talking to a man and his daughter. She was too cute. There were two men who were standing near by watching me and just standing there, on the boarder of invading my personal space. I just looked at them and smiled with a raised brow. Thinking are you guys about to hold up the place or something??? The man was nice and was waiting on his wife. I paid for my items and returned to my husband and he was like so what was it like to talk to Kobe Bryant! I laughed and was thinking no wonder those wierd guys were watching my every move. I told the story to my friends and they all asked if I noticed his wifes new HUGHE diamond ring. That was not too long after the whole cheating scandel he had. I did not know the story. My husband filled me in. It was a funny experience. I just noticed him because he was speaking Spanish to his daughter and I thought that was neat, since he did not appear Spanish and did not have the accent.

My DS7 would DIE if he saw Steven Tyler. He loves all things Aerosmith which is so funny because neither me or my husband are fans.

Anyway, about 10+ years ago in my early 20s, we saw Howie Mandell at the Beach Club. He wasn't a total jerk but not exactly the friendliest man I've ever met either, but I can sort of understand with his germ phobias.

And once while working at Liberty Inn in Epcot during my college program I met Scott and Melissa Reeves (Young and the Restless and Days of our Lives). They were there with their children and were very nice.

Oooooh...I have two!

Two years ago we were at DL and I was following my youngest through a pack of people...he sorta got ahead of me and I was focused on keeping my eye on him. I almost ran into a woman with several children...escorted by another woman. When I looked up at her to say sorry, it was Maria Shriver! She looked startled and then relaxed when she realized I meant her no harm. Her sidekick was eyeing me pretty seriously.

And many more years ago, before Beauty and the Beast got its own theater at MGM, we went to see the show. My DH was excited because he saw some GREAT seats. When we tried to go sit in them, we were told that they were being saved. He got a little indignant, reminding them that seating was first come, first get! Anyhow, we found other seats and didn't think more about it. Then my toddler got loose and ran down the aisle (seems to happen to me a lot.) I followed him, and when I got closer to the front noticed people staring and whispering in the direction of those "saved" seats. I looked over...Billy Joel, Christie Brinkley and daughter. He had done a concert in Orlando the night before, so wasn't a HUGE surprise once we thought about it. Turns out they were estranged at the time, but I don't think they had announced it yet. (And she looked adorable, even without airbrushing--just had her hair back in a french braid and a sundress on.)

We were at MGM walking towards Tower of Terror. I saw a strikingly beautiful woman walking with someone younger & kind of frumpy. I kind of thought....interesting pair.

I then realized it was Vanessa - the other woman was a cast member. There was a tween aged girl walking with them - probably Vanessa's daughter.

She had not a stitch of make-up on, hair in a simple ponytail. Very casual T & sweat-type capris. She is GORGEOUS in person.

The only celebrities I remember seeing was at Planet Hollywood prob 10-15 years ago, I don't remember. We were outside and they had the whole red carpet thing going on, and it was a bunch of football players I believe, the only one I knew of or remembered was Brett Favre (sp?). And Al Roker was there too I believe. They were doing something, I'm not sure what it was. But we sat upstairs and got to look over the balcony at all hte people downstairs at some type of ceremony type thing. Wish we had taken pictures.

I am almost 100% positive that my daughter and I rode the elevator with Robert Downy Jr and his family. We were dining at the California Grill and we were on our way out and so were they. I looked at him and he looked at me, I looked back at him and he looked at me again. We both knew he was a celeb. Neither of us spoke, after all they were on vacation the same as we were. Honestly I think he was relieved just to be left alone.

Other than that we have only met people you thought they were stars!

We saw Bruce Vilanch and what I assume was his partner at Animal Kingdom in June 2005. He was getting into rides via a special entrance. When I got back and mentioned it to a couple of people, nobody seemed to know who he was so maybe he didn't need special treatment after all? ;)

And we saw Fabio years ago when he was in the parade at MGM.

I saw Mariah Carey about 8 or 9 years ago getting on Splash Mountain as we were getting off, I tried to get a pic when I realized who just passed me (DUH) but it was too late. My sister saw John Travolta 2 or 3 years ago at the MK with his family. I also saw Drew Carey and the other guy from Who's Line Is It, I can't think of his name right now, at Pleasure Island and I asked him if I could buy him a drink, but he was too busy making out with some blonde in a really short skirt.:rotfl:

When we went at Christmas time in 1998 former President Jimmy Carter and his whole family were at the Hoop de Doo - we had a party of 15 and made our reservations far far in advance but he and his family and secret service men had the huge table in the middle which I think was going to be ours. We had to split our group but when we made the reservation we were ASSURED that we would all be sitting together. We were surrounded by secret service men! Jimmy Carter was very nice though and when the show was over he posed for pictures and stuff - we have him on video.
When we went to Pleasure Island the next night there were secret service men all outside of the Adventurer's Club and we were not allowed in. We were told by the guy who worked there that Amy Carter was in the club.

We saw Michael Bolton in the bar at the Beach Club. He was complaining that they didn't have any Dom Perignon to go with his pizza.:rotfl2:

I saw Cyndi Lauper on our Christmas trip last year. It was not on Christmas day though.

She was coming in the exit of Splash, as we were coming off.

I never notice celebs at WDW, I am so wrapped up in my magic. But, we nearly bumped into her since the path was narrow and she and a little boy were going the wrong way.

I told my kids and they were like "who's Cyndi Lauper"??. :lmao:

Several years ago, the year AK opened, me and my DH were riding TOT for the first time and right before the ride was to begin a CM walked in with a guy and they sat in the back row. We really did not think much of it UNTIL later in the day we were walking around and realized there were several musical artist in the park that day. It then hit us that we were on the TOT with Tyrese, model, singer, actor. So I ran back to the gift shop outisde the ride where you can buy your TOT picture and bought it. There we are screaming our heads off with Tyrese right behind us! We have seen several celebs in the parks for concerts, special parades, super soap, ect. My 2 DD's would LOVE to "bump" into Miley Cyrus. I think they would pass out!

I saw someone this past Sunday at MK who wanted to be Paris Hilton.

Not a personal sighting, but a friend of mine and his family saw John Travolta while having dinner at CRT. Apparently the CMs told everyone not to approach him, but that he would come around and say hi to everyone. I guess he did that because it is a pretty small place and he figured it was easier than people disrupting his meal.

I have seen Lawrence Taylor at Downtown Disney going into the house of blues.(1998)

I also saw Ivan Rodriguez with a group of about 20 people (most of whom appeared to be family) leaving test track.(2002)

I've seen Beyonce (and all of Destiny's Child before the first breakup), N'Sync, Enrique Iglesias, Grant Hill (basketball player), and I had drinks with Joe Namath at the Bellvue Lounge at BWI (not long before he harassed that poor reporter drunk :rotfl: ).

I ran into Mary Lou Retton (the Olympic champion) walking down a hallway at Coranado Springs. She was with her three daughters, and they were all so nice and polite. She stopped to talk to me without even asking; I was thrilled. She is very short, but since her husband is a basketball player, all of her daughters (the oldest was about 11, I think) were taller than her!

I worked in Disney from 1999 to 2000.

I saw Regina King walking past Petes Garage in Toontown.

I waited on P Diddy, his body guard, his entourage and about 6 or 7 kids. Let me tell you he was the rudest person I have ever met....

They all just kept throwing items on the counter and never once uttered a word to me...

I also waited on Cisco at an outside cart in Toon Town. Boy is he short:rotfl:

While working in the Farmers Market, Raymon fromd Everyone love Raymond and his family were walking thru the Market to get to Goofy's Barnstormer. I know it is kind of hard to see but the blonde with the purse in the middle is Pam Anderson and the guy in the red shirt with the hat is her new hubby Rick Salomon. We were at Disneyland right after they got married. They were there with her kids and we saw them and my dh tried to get her to look by calling her name which was a big mistake LOL cuz she just ducked her head down and kind of ran off. I noticed her by her barb wire tatoo on her arm but otherwise I wouldn't have really noticed. She was with a tour guide CM though and some body gurards. And I must say her partying ways had caught up with her as she had major cellulite and wrinkles. I guess they do some major air brushing in the magazines.

It was still neat to see a real celeb up close though. She walked right past me. :)

About 6-7 years ago, we were standing in line for space mountain at the MK(the line was so long it was outside of the building)and I looked over and there was Michael Eisner with a bunch of other official looking people. They were about 20-30 feet away. I took some pictures while I was in line and I know the people around me thought I was nuts because they didn't know who he was or what I was all excited about. But, I thought it was pretty cool. I wish I would have gone over to him but he looked like he was on some official work related business and not just making appearances for the heck of it. I was at MK for my DDs 4th birthday in 2003 and ran into Michael Jackson. It was pouring down rain... I was dashing into Buzz with DD in my arms... he was doing the same thing (follwed by about 7 security guards) He had 2 children with him, both wearing goofy masks. At that time there was almost an empty park so it was literally me, Micael, and one other family riding Buzz over and over until the rain stopped. It was surreal!

I was surprised to see Tony Dungy of the Indianapolis Colts right after they won the Super Bowl a couple of years ago. We were in Tomorrowland in the open area between the People Mover and Space Mountain and I looked up and he was just there. I said something stupid like you really did come to DW after winning the Super Bowl. (remember that commercial Disney has of the winning QB and coach saying they are coming) But I was happy to get to congratulate him on his win because we are Bucs fans and love Tony. We saw Nature Boy Rick Flair in the concierge lounge of the Grand Floridian on our honeymoon July 97 and saw another wrestler in the hallway of the Poly Hawaii concierge building a couple years ago. Somehow hubby has lots of obscure info---I never would've known who they were.

Also, early Dec 2004 walking around World Showcase and saw Joey Fatone (Nsync) and family by France and about 5 minutes later my then almost 3 yo son darted out in front of a group. When I looked up to apologize for cutting them off, much to my surprise it was John Stamos and a couple of VIP tour guides!

At Disneyland on the day of Pirates 2 premiere we saw director James Cameron walking around and a few other stars walking the red carpet before they kicked us "riff raff" out of the park for the premiere.

Oh, and once while in Cindy's castle for bfast we saw a large group w/VIP tour guides. Turns out it was one of the Boston hockey players (can't remember which one)

Nothing as good as Stamos though!

OMGosh!! Now I'm singing..."never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down, never gonna turn around and desert you"! As if it weren't bad enough, that's all I remember of that song so it's looping in my head! :lmao:

I don't think I would ever recognize a celeb. without paparazzi unless it was like Brad and Angelina. I was shopping with some friends in Ashville when while standing outside a restroom, a tall dark haired "intense" woman asked me if it was full (naaa, we just like to stand in a line of about 10 people outside public restrooms:sad2:). I said yes. As she walked away, my friend told me that it was Andie Mcdowell. I've loved most of her movies, but didn't recognize her from Adam.

My friend saw Victor Wooten on the dock at the Swan/Dolphin the week before last.

Victor is the bass player for Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, and is one of the most influential, skilled bass players to ever walk the earth. The guy is mind blowing. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zD824h5Lnq8)

Yet he can still walk around WDW virtually unnoticed.

Very cool! I'm sure my DH would have recognized him. We have seen Bela Fleck and the Flecktones several times and Victor is amazing.
We have tix to see Bela and Chick Corea in February. :cool1:

I love telling this story. About 10 yrs ago DH & I were in a very long, hot line at the Haunted Mansion. The little girl in front of us started to get scared the closer to the door we got. She wanted to leave but 'dad' didn't want to get out of line after waiting all that time knowing that she would love the ride. I thought I'd help out and started to tell her that they were friendly ghosts like Casper (showing my age) and that it was really a fun ride. She calmed down and decided to stay. 'Dad' turned around thanking me like I'd saved his life.....it turned out to be rocker Eddie Money. Some of you will be too young to know who that is but for my age group....it was a thrill!! He thanked me again as we were walking away from the ride. I still smile just thinking about it!

A couple of years ago we saw Justin Timberlake with Cameron Diaz and some kid getting on Dumbo. As they were waiting by the exit to "enter" the ride, Justin noticed the family next to me video recording him and Cameron and came over and scolded them. He was literally 5 feet away from me........ he's kind of a little guy.

On a different trip we also saw John Stamos, Regis and Kelly and a couple of others roaming around mainstreet before getting ready to shoot the Christmas special a few years back.

Last weekend was the Soap weekend at MGM, and on Sunday night my friends & I were at the Grand Floridian and I saw David Canary of All My Children (with a CM and I think his wife). ANd I also saw Brandon Buddy who plays Cole on One Life to Live. I didn't speak to either of them because for one they both looked tired and I figured they'd had all day of screaming fans they probably just wanted to be left alone. :cool2:

Just got back the 16th from a great, albeit crowded trip and have a celebrity encounter to report. It was 12:30 in the morning at MK. The park was practically empty when my wife and I decided to stop in at the watch store on Main St U.S.A. (the kids were at the hotel with gramma and grampa. My wife and I were the only guests in the store other than a mother and her child being shown some stuff behind the counter. The daughter saw a locket she liked and told her mom she wanted it, to which her mother replied that she could ask for it for Christmas. My wife and I thought nothing of it until the husband stuck his head in the door and said, "Kelly, we're gonna take off now". The husband I immediately recognized at John Travolta making the wife Kelly Preston. After she left the CM's were all abuzz about there celebrity encounter, I asked the one CM who was helping us if she sees celebrities all the time and she told me that was her first.
This encounter brought about a ton of questions, mostly from me about how a celebrity makes a trip to WDW. Do the make a regular reservation? Have their people call Disney people? Do they take the monorail back to the Polynesian if they are staying there or do the get their own 'Special' bus?

How neat! I can't answer any of your questions, but your encounter sounds very pleasant. It's so nice when celebs get that quality family time in too. :goodvibes

Not really an 'encounter' but my brother, Stewart Cink, is a professional golfer and any number of the golfers are fair game to be spotted park hopping with ther families on the days surrounding the pga disney gofl tournament. This year he 'parked' after his round on Sunday and then all day Monday, hitting all the major rides at each and even got dream fastpasses at AK!

We saw that kinda odd fellow who has been on all the talk shows because he dresses as Peter Pan 24/7 at WDW on 11/2. He was at the MNSSHP with a lady dressed as either a fairy or a Princess, I'm not sure which. I recognized that bowl cut and the Peter Pan clothes immediately. He is in his 50's and idolizes all things Peter Pan.

I don't think I would recognize a celebrity in person if they walked up and bit me....(hmmm...i wonder IF celebrities bite) :scared: . You can tell I don't watch much TV or am into too many movies.

However, I did meet Bill Parcells this summer at Saratoga Race Course....not WDW I know....but that's about my extent of a brush with the rich and famous!

I am the same, I wouldn't recognise half of these American tv personalities/sports players. I would recognise movie stars if they weren't too disguised though!

I maintain that my Mum bumped into Meg Ryan at Downtown Disney in Disneyland CA, in Dept 56. Mum asked her what a "votive" was (as it was not a common term over here at the time). She seemed very nice and just a regular person, but both my sister and I both independently thought she looked heck of a like Meg Ryan but with longer hair.

Well, shortly after our return we saw pictures of Meg Ryan in a magazine or online and she was sporting longer hair than usual, so that really convinced me that it was really her!

Did I mention my Mum also accidentally poked this lady's head with an ornament when in the queue to pay at the same store??? heheheh, how embarrassing!

Does Disneyland sighting count? At different times we saw Jane Seymour, Richard Thomas, Steve Martin and Johnny Depp (before Pirates fame). My mom saw Walt Disney and he even talked to her.

My dad went nuts when he saw a bunch of football players that just won the Superbowl but I didn't know who they were or even what team they were from.

I probebly wouldn't recognize many celebs if I saw them...however when we were at the Magic Kingdom last week on 11-12 I saw Samantha Brown there doing a taping for the Travel Channel. I know she's not ahuge celebrity...but I love that channel so I recognized her...but when I told my family they had never heard of her.
